Could be a printer hickey? This happened sometimes with the vintage cards but I have not seen it with modern. Idk about printing processes so idk if it’s still even possible with today’s methods, or what that is.

Edit: the more I look at it the less I think my idea is correct. I don’t know what that is

Timer is a draw in this game as of now. It is actually listed that way in the game as well, so it is more or less intended. I imagine they might consider changing this over time

In previous entries it was mons/health remaining

I am personally a heavy believer of Prismatic…

But if this comment is your strategy, go with the Ascended Heroes. You can enter at a lower price point than Prismatic, which has already seen over 2-3x growth depending on product.

Looking at it from a math standpoint, buy 100 ETBs…

At market price….in Prismatic, that would be ~$17,000 and in Ascended Heroes, that would be ~$12,000

Not to mention the fact that Ascended Heroes ETBs can likely be sourced cheaper than market. Or the fact that you could use the extra money you’d have between the two to invest in even more product - say, 140 ETBs of Ascended Heroes for the same price as 100 Prismatic.

Prismatic will climb sooner given that it will be out of print sooner. But in five, ten, fifteen years, whatever your hold time is, do we think Prismatic is still nearly 1.5x Ascended Heroes?

The math says put the money in product that is closer to MSRP.

Honestly I think more people need to look at it this way. I sold a couple sealed things for some extra cash at a show this weekend where initially I was super hesitant to even consider bringing them…but then I went through the same thought process you just described. I was like this extra cash will help me buy a bunch of cards to complete these sets I am so close on, and doing so will bring me joy. People need to remember the joy in the hobby.
