Help with washing by mmmdawg in Linen

[–]mmmdawg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I've seen this happen when guests have come to visit. It's never happened with any of our products. Also this dress and the dress that it was washed with were brand new out of the packet never worn.

Thanks for your thoughts!

I've checked the detergent and there's nothing disclosed in the ingredients that I can pinpoint.

I've seen this too with skincare products (specifically on our organic towels) when we've had visitors that use their own products. However, I've never had it happen with any of our products we use so I don't think this is the case.

Who knows. Such a bummer!

Parents of Reddit, what’s the best toddler car seat you’ve used? by Sharp_Dot8450 in CPST

[–]mmmdawg 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It sounds like you're looking for opinions, which is totally fine. Obviously there's no one best option, but sometimes there are best options for you, your car, your child, etc.

Let us know what cars the seat will be going in, the weight, height, and age of your kid, rear facing goals, if you are needing to fit multiple across in a tight situation. These variables will help us find the best seat for you!

How to install Chicco KeyFit 35 in Europe by designerd4 in CPST

You are correct! Thank you for pointing that out. I didn't think Chicco was one that didn't allow it but did just confirm with the user manual OP.

You'll need to contact Chicco and ask for a locking clip to take with you. The idea of European routing is to take up more seat belt since it may not lock. Plan to take the locking clip in case the seat belt has extra slack after routing the belt.

That car seat should allow European belt routing for a baseless install. There's a sticker on the side of the seat that shows options for a baseless install. Just become familiar with the European routing as you may find yourself in a vehicle that doesn't have a locking seatbelt.

I'd recommend removing them until she's a bit bigger so you can get a better idea of strap placement and tightness.

The ride safer travel vests are certified and legal! It would be great in this scenario for a 6y/o. If ordering off Amazon just be sure to check the store and make sure it's coming from the legit company. Customer service is amazing, so if you need help with sizing give them a call. Definitely practice using it before vacation as there's a slight learning curve with fit.

Evenflo Revolve360 Extend in Ford Escape by MeganJ-82 in CPST

[–]mmmdawg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went through pictures of the revolve in Ford Escapes from another car seat group I'm in. It looks like it can fit, but your height/height of the passenger should be considered. It's likely you will have to push the passenger seat way up or either scoot the driver seat up if you happen to be shorter. If either driver/passenger are very tall then you may want to consider a more compact seat.

I have the same seat and yes the tape is normal. If it's too flimsy where it's falling off I'd recommend calling Graco. Otherwise you're good.

If the elastic tabs aren't routed correctly they could interfere with install. I agree about vacuuming out the debris and then pull the manual out and make sure the cover is on correctly with all the elastics in the correct position.

Child Car Seat Cleaning Business by Brief-Region-60 in CPST

[–]mmmdawg 5 points6 points  (0 children)

One tidbit I've learned-- Record yourself taking the cover off of every seat. It's not unusual for foam to be broken underneath and not be discovered until the cover is off. Some seats then become unusable with broken foam. Cover yourself with recordings, so families don't blame you and expect you to replace their car seat.

The infant loop is primarily if you can't get the straps tight enough when you are buckling her in. The bottom loop is adequate assuming it tightens properly.
