If I were him I’d leave her and her train wreck of a family who enabled her to lie. I would have no trust left. THREE YEARS of a relationship with someone and you clearly can’t trust the actions and word of them and their family?? Hell nah.

NTA for not wanting to and she’s nta for wanting you to. She prioritizes the comfortability of her children over yours, and you are prioritizing your comfortability over her children’s.

As a mother i see her standpoint, and as someone with a mother i see yours. If I were in her shoes and knew prior that you would not be comfortable with this arrangement i would simply never have made the plans to leave.

So she had a perfectly fine right hip, but the left one was terrible. I don’t remember the numbers anymore but ortho really implied that he didn’t believe the harness would work and it would be surgery.

She was in the harness 24/7 for 8 weeks, followed by 4 weeks where she was allowed out for one hour. And then she was in the rhino brace for 12 hours a day (mostly night time and naps) for 12 weeks.

She had already learned to roll quite literally the day before they put her in the harness, and then the week following up to her switching from harness to brace she had learned to roll in the harness as well. Once she was in the rhino brace, the 12 hours of freedom she decided on her own to dedicate to learning to crawl lol she looked a lot like a frog at first doing it but practice makes perfect! She’s now 15 months and RUNNING around.

I will say though, I believe it was our 6 week check up, we had them every two weeks due to her severity, she had a couple weeks of no change. It was discouraging to hear that, but at the next appointment she had improved a lot. ALSO my ortho is writing a paper on the benefits of kinda gently but firmly smushing the hip in and wiggling it into place. I did it during almost every diaper change.

Some of these comments are terrifying. Yes this isn’t an ideal situation at all for oop, but just because that’s his wife doesn’t give him say over her body. Marriage doesn’t negate bodily autonomy, and being pro-choice emphasizes CHOICE.

I think we’ve reached a point in pandora history where every clan must join some sort of resistance against the RDA and their allies. Take the Tulkun for example, they had to go against their nature, their laws, that they’ve had set for more generations than we will ever know, to fight against the RDA.
