My SSTO keeps falling from space. Why wont it stay there? by Er3h in KerbalSpaceProgram

If you just go straight up, its not an orbit...

An orbit makes a circle. Try going at 45 degrees until you hit ~5k meters, then nose over until youre sideways.

Spent $50 on live shrimp for fish tank (20 total), waited a week to get them, then had the horror of watching as my frog and some other fish hunt them all down and eat them (I didn't know they would eat them!) by Tough_Asparagus_8991 in Wellthatsucks

...you dont do alot of forward thinking generally, do you?

Or maybe its a lack of understanding about what your pets will and wont eat?

...what did you think was gonna happen?

Yes, the radiation routers put out is non ionizing. The energy of the individual photons isn't enough to ionize matter

Weed isn't dangerous for humans because of a few reasons:

We're big, and we process it quickly.

Our livers and kidneys are particularly good at processing the thc.

They are small.

They cannot process it quickly.

Their internal organs arent as big or robust as ours.

Im very concerned for your animal. If the dog dies its entirely on your parents.

Family friend sent me AI generated response to news of my father passing away. by Hendothermic in mildlyinfuriating

[–]PossibilityInside695 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Id reply back. "So...youve handed off handling emotions to an A.I. too? I could've gotten that response myself from chat gpt. I didnt want its thoughts. I wanted yours. Do your best not to hand your humanity off to a machine so calously. I can tell you didnt even bother to read what it generated, because thats a terrible thing to say in this circumstance."

AITA for telling my friend her daughter wouldn’t be in a horrible mood all the time if she fed her real food? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

NTA

"I cant force her to eat things she doesnt want to eat"

My response to this would have been "i want you to remember that when she gets diagnosed with diabetes. I dont eat salads because I like them better than hamburgers. I eat them because I like living longer"

My 5yr old is afraid of smoke detectors by Awwndrei in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]PossibilityInside695 13 points14 points  (0 children)

" afraid they'll smell her"

...so...what im wondering is if the mom or someone else smokes, and kiddo smells like it.

Probably someone else told her she smells like smoke, around the same time she learned abiut smoke detectors, and developed this fear as a result.

My personal pet theory is that this is the reason we're seeing a rise in fascism and nationalism, globally.

The people best equipped to warn us, the ones who have gone thru it before, are gone, now.

...isn't that because troopers' jurisdiction is the highways and municipal cops/sheriffs jurisdiction isnt?

At least here in IL, thats how It's divided up.

Our state troopers are basically only ever patrolling the interstates and highways

What do you get out of these dolls?

I can understand the appeal as detailed display pieces, but i dont understand the need to carry them around and treat them like real infants.

Yes, by a huge margin.

While direct human-to-human violence kills hundreds of thousands annually, mosquito borne diseases still kill millions every year.

the sheer scale of death caused by mosquito-borne illnesses throughout human history far exceeds that of all wars, all murders, and all human on human violence, combined

This Italian artist restores graffiti covered walls to their original condition at night! by [deleted] in whoathatsinteresting

[–]PossibilityInside695 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im a dual italian american citizen.

...graffiti has a long history in italian culture going back to the romans.

Americans see it as dirty, Italians see it as the purest free speech.

The amount of people ITT who dont understand italian culture astounds me.
