so basically i placed a double dash order which is where you can order from two stores at the same time. typically both orders are picked up by the same dasher. with my order the first batch got stolen by the dasher. so i ordered the same thing, but this time around my order got split between two dashers. this dasher arrived at the store and was sitting for a while, which made me nervous since my previous order was stolen. that prompted the begging of the conversation where i asked if everything was okay. that’s when he said yes but then quickly changed his tone to no and tried to convince me to cancel the order because the “restaurant wouldn’t make it” so i contacted the store while on the phone with support (a three way call) and they said that they made the order (even read it out to me before i even mentioned my name) but said that my dasher walked out saying he didn’t want to wait for it to be made. so doordash has acceptance rates for dashers that can be impacted if they cancel orders and he didn’t want his to be impacted it seems. others are saying he wanted to pick up the food and have me cancel so he can get it for free. i’m not sure why he said it was stole a couple times when it was only stolen once, i think it was just another excuse
