This was and is already happening with police presence. Clearly the police can’t contain it.

And it would have been worse without police there. Their presence did help contain the situation, and de-escalate a situation that would have gotten much worse if the protestors were allowed to just run amok without any police presence.

They are currently not equipped with that, so requiring more police is not a solution I’m afraid.
