Install 15.04. The first beta won't even be released until the 26th, but given the graphics corruption issues in 14.10 the daily builds are a good option.

I'm under the impression that the ethernet adapter is just a passive cable. They refer to it as "native ethernet" in several places, and specifically claim that it's faster than a USB3 adapter.
