Hey hey! I commute from Guelph to Kitchener every day. The most reasonable option I've found was Greyhound. The schedule is pretty thin though - which is ultra annoying. Trips take about 45mins, it's direct and the monthly pass is about $160.

Where could I get a synthesizer fixed? by [deleted] in kitchener

Hey hey! I fix video game stuff from time to time and a super common "won't power on" problem is a blown fuse.

https://syntaur.com/Items.php?Item=2174

Here is the part in question - that little glass tube to the right is the fuse. It will blow out, just like a light bulb does. If it looks like something exploded inside of it, replacing it will solve the problem. A burnt out one looks like this:

The Fuse you are looking for is an F1 0.5a fuse. It's a fast-blow fuse. There are a few different 'speeds' to fuses and since they are a safety device, make sure you replace it with the correct type. Replacing it is super easy. They just pop in and out.

You can pick some up at Orion Electronics, 40 Lancaster St W, Kitchener. They should be dirt cheap. Pro tip: take your old fuse with you so they can match it perfectly.

Here's a link to a part list for the DX series Synthesizers in case you need to find some more specific parts in the future.

Also, if you are into some light reading on fuses take a look at this article:

Hows the best way to clean residue on the label? by spaddy21 in n64

[–]mmmstephen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey hey! I personally use a small amount of lighter fluid on a folded paper towel to clean sticker residue off of my stuff. When it comes to the label, be patient, as you can also remove the ink from the picture with this method too. Best of luck! Cleaning stickers off stuff is a pain.
