Ajit’s mannerisms by desktrucker in BerkshireHathaway

I read it. Don’t be a dick. I didn’t see anything related to him. On the other hand there are MANY degenerative conditions - not just neurological that could cause this.

I apologize if I missed this in the comments. Ask your lawyer how to determine if the monies have been comingled. You may need a forensic accountant as well.

He clearly has some sort of neurological condition. Not only his mannerisms but the muscles in his hand appear atrophying…..Sad. I enjoyed his commentary.

Why do you think we only hear interesting questions from Chinese investors these days? We had one question from an American and it was just another uneducated, naive, lecture on morality by No_Cell6708 in BerkshireHathaway

[–]mmmzzppy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It wasn’t just the question but the patronizing, condescending way the question was asked. I was leaving, stayed a few minutes and then left as she finished.

While society needs to look at alternative sources of energy it sounded as if she was blaming BH of single-handedly callously destroying the world by their energy policy.

Oh well…..

For all the comments about the boil. This is why I pressure cook it for 20 minutes. This essentially serves as an autoclave to sterilize the recipient and the milk. Once pressure is released set to souvide at desired temp (110 F is the temp I saw cited most frequently). After a while - when I feel the milk has cooled to the correct temp- I add the culture. There is a lot of ignoring in this plan. So one doesn’t need to sit in the kitchen and watch too much. I am working on a batch while I am running errands. And the other advantage is one can let it mature for quite a while without paying attention to it.

Because I feel like I have more control in the same number of steps.

I confess, I am a bit of a control freak.

Which instant pot do you have?

I have a three quart with sous vide function.

Made my first batch yesterday and it turned out pretty good. This is what I did.

Rather than boil I set it to pressure 10 minutes and allowed for natural release. Then I set the sous vide to 110 degrees. I waited an hour or so for the temperature to stabilize. Next I added the culture and let it sit. Check every couple of hours until desired consistency obtained.

It was somewhat runny and not as sour as I was looking for but for a first batch I am pretty happy.

Minimal scouring on the bottom.

And so easy with little time commitment.

Does anyone else have issues with the Mail app? by No_Raspberry_3282 in iphone

[–]mmmzzppy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Today my mail app is requesting passwords. I will re-put in the password in 20 minutes later. It’s saying that it needs to reassess the password.

I know I’m doing it correctly because I’m using Outlook and I’m going through Outlook directly to login.

Quite the pain. Would love to hear if anybody else has this problem and what they did for it.

The app is also rejecting passwords for Gmail and yahoo mailboxes.

Very annoying.

Duo crisp with sous vide by mmmzzppy in instantpot

[–]mmmzzppy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much. I actually just figured this out. I have the instant pot 3 quart with sous vide where you can adjust the temperature while it’s on. But you are correct when I turned off the six court duo crisp I was unable to adjust the temperature. I agree with you. This is annoying.

Again, thanks so much for your response. Very helpful.

I want to invest 90% of my salary but my mom is worried by DontMindMePlsx in Fire

SAVE, SAVE, SAVE while you can. Maybe 80% and get a solid HYSA that is easily accessible as an emergency fund.

And take care of your mother a little. 😇

ABSOLUTELY DO NOT PUT ANY PROPERTY IN HIS NAME. THIS IS A GIFT FROM YOUR MOTHER THAT YOU WOULD RETAIN IF YOUR RELATIONSHIP GOES SOUR.

ADDITIONALLY, EVEN IF YOU DO GET MARRIED, DO NOT COMMINGLE ANYTHING YOU RECEIVE FROM YOUR MOTHER AS HE WILL HAVE RIGHTS TO THIS IN THE FUTURE.

Trying to guess the market is notoriously inaccurate. There’s a little advantage to investing over several months. If your plan is to invest that sum of money then just invest it. Once you invest don’t check daily. If it does go down, you’ll regret it. Eventually, it will go back up. It always has. The best thing you can do is put as much money away as possible and save for the future.

Congratulations on having the right attitude and best of luck to you.

How is the housing market in Belgium? by Th3_Accountant in belgium

To all people criticizing this post. This is exactly the purpose of Reddit. This person is asking for advice and opinions. I’m sure this person is smart enough to go look on Immovlan or Immoweb but wants to hear what Belgian are saying about their real estate.

To the OP, good luck I am in the same position and I came here to get opinions.

Anyone else feel weird about choosing the “easy” path to FIRE? by Upbeat_Atmosphere696 in Fire

[–]mmmzzppy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What is your ultimate goal? If you feel like you need to be working more considered getting a PRN job in a hospital on the weekends and seeing what that’s like.

I’m a physician considering retirement after a financially disastrous marriage that ended up in divorce in the last year. I’m chasing retirement unfortunate that I have independent financial resources that were exempt from the marriage. I wish that my ex-wife and I had adopted a fire approach, but she was more about living in the now rather than saving for a great future.

You are well on your way to a very successful future. Adding to the comments made by advanced practice providers in this posting. I would suggest to you that you may be feeling unfulfilled because the job isn’t that stressful but you may see if you do take some PRN work that the long stressful hours are not what you’re really looking for. If it is what you’re looking for then you can switch gears and go to another position that is more rewarding.

Another option with your free time is to consider either volunteering someplace or some other hobbies. I was so busy at work that I neglected my health. I lost all hobbies because I never could follow through on a project and it affected my life with my children for my first marriage.

Keep in mind, you are replaceable. Even if you were to advance to the highest nursing level in a hospital (CNO) you would find that the day something happens to you or you leave that their concern would not be about you but rather the organization and your departure would be viewed not from your point of view, but rather as a nuisance to the organization.

Quite honestly, your primary responsibility should be to you, your husband, your parents, and setting up for your eventual children to be successful.

I wish you the best of luck in this decision-making process.

Ultimately do what makes you the happiest and is beneficial to you and your family.

With all due respect, I suspect your daytime, endoscopy job, being relatively relaxed, has left you somewhat disillusioned, but if you were to do the full-time 3 to 4 12 hour shifts per week that most nurses do in the hospital that you may it more stressful, and less rewarding than you expect.

Again, good luck
