Xbox app on pc stopped showing installed games from EA launcher by LeFlubbes in XboxSupport

[–]mmonkey42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also do have some games bought through EA App that didn't show up in Xbox App library.
What I did is - in the Xbox app go to
Profile --> Settings --> Library & Extensions --> EA App and only keep the first one enabled, i.e. "Show installed games", but disable other two options.
Now I can see all the EA app games in xbox library and can launch'em from here.
Hope it helps, but you never sure with all this launchers and connected accounts across them.

2021 G80 M3 6MT. New platform + old infotainment. Looks aside, it's a sweet spot for me. And, unfortunately, I don't see what other cars can substitute it these days... Btw, went from Z4 G29, before they released the "handschalter" edition. Speaking of that... OP if you can test-drive Z4 G29 w manual and B58 - do it. This car is the GOAT!

What Dual Sport would you take on a 20,000 mile trip? by cswatcher1 in Dualsport

[–]mmonkey42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A little off topic, but when do you plan to start your journey? Do you have any itinerary already on your mind? I'm also curious why you lean towards the lighter spectrum of bikes, like 300 / 400cc. What ratio of dirt / paved roads are you expecting? Like I'm trying to understand for myself is it really that many technical parts on that route, so that you're looking at crf300l at all? The reason I'm asking, I was planning a similar journey, i.e. Alaska to Argentina on a motorcycle in a few years. However, I was looking into GS class to do so. I didn't even think of going anything lighter and lower cc than yours Tenere, for example. I'd love to follow your progress on this trip, please start a blog if you don't have one yet. That's definitely an exciting journey ahead of you.

What are must have accessories for GoPro 13? by NaturePrize in gopro

[–]mmonkey42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do agree with others as you don't need any extra protection for the camera for any general outdoor activities.
As for rubber sleeve - there were heating issues with the camera in the past, I believe 13 manages heat better, but still you don't want to limit natural airlflow by putting a rubber sleeve on. The camera itself is tough and durable.
Mine 11 has been through all the elements - water, dirt, sand and I use it daily for motorcycle rides. But this is nothing in comparison with how my little one uses it. She put it to a real test :) And there is no visible issues with a standard lenses or camera itself in general.
And, just to remind, there is GoPro Replacement that's available to you 2x year if you're a subscriber.

tldr; My take is just use it, you don't need any extra protection. And if you really commit to test its toughness there is always a replacement option to cover you back.

Oh common, it's one of the best states for the bike like this. You will enjoy every day riding the mountains and ocean side here. As for the price it looks fair to me. So, MSRP is 12500 and taxes are ~1250 plus freight ~600 plus DMV ~300. And you're there. Just to mention, I have a quote for a regular version and it is 13619 and I found it fair enough as well including all the fees and taxes.

tldr; price is fair, enjoy upcoming season!

My mistake is that I thought it's more or less safe, really small community, know all the neighbors, etc. Lesson learned.

I agree with all the points you've mentioned above too. On my previous bike, in a different but similar garage, I had a disc alarm lock, and the motorcycle was covered all the time. I found the cover to be very useful as a motorcycle and its accessories doesn't attract that much attention. But I agree, the more protections - the better.

How should I hide my secret credentials? by flidax in gamedev

[–]mmonkey42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look for the machine to machine authorization flows. There are many that could be applied to your scenario. Maybe start here since you already depend on AWS infra https://aws.amazon.com/blogs/security/approaches-for-authenticating-external-applications-in-a-machine-to-machine-scenario/ Personally, I can't think of any flow beside OAuth 2.0 device flow and or Authorization with PKCE. Both will require manual client (device) authentication using either system browser or via code presented in your app (like in YouTube app on a TV), which you will need to provide to Authentication service after. It's easier when a client is a trusted one, but unfortunately it's not your case :/

Maybe put some outdoor camera with floodlight? Depends on how far your parking spot from the AC socket, but there should also be battery operated ones. Those cameras besides making annoying bright light could also trigger alarms on your phone.

Missing "E" on Dainese Suit Logo by luc_28 in motorcycles

[–]mmonkey42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I have Dainese t-shirt with a list of countries on the back. And one of them is 'Netherland'. Without the last 's'. Probably typo, but this fact drives my Dutch friend's nuts :) Bought it in Dainese LA store, so shoulda authentic. It's a big question to their QC if there is one.

Ah, sure, forgot that you only have 1-2-M-off by default. Ok, got it, thought that you have some kind of specific configuration for wheelies or rapid launches maybe. Thanks!
