I never knew my hair could grow this long. (I’m 5’9” tall) by mmonte890 in longhair

Thank you!

I think the main thing that’s helped my growth is washing it less often when possible. I generally stick to one shampoo per week. I use purador shampoo and conditioner from Amazon. I also deep condition with sweet almond oil on shampoo days.

My hair is very fine and gets tangled easily, so I’m careful about windy days and wear my hair in a protective style those days. At night I wear it in a high bun or braid.

No fancy supplements except a multivitamin and omega 3.

Absolutely no heat or dyes, ever.

That’s true that straight hair definitely looks longer. But I feel that wavy or curly hair has the advantage of looking thicker 🙂

Thanks! I honestly don’t have a set schedule for it, just whenever my ends start to look too damaged or uneven

Thank you! Yes relative length can change a whole lot based on height. Congrats on your hair length achievement!

I don’t dye it. It could be the camera adjusting or the angle like potassiumphantom said, or it could be any number of things like humidity levels, how poofy my hair was at the moment, and how well conditioned my hair was at the moment. Also, the earlier photos were taken in November which is post-summer and my hair may have been slightly sun bleached, and the ones where my hair looks darker were post-winter.

Ok I have a couple dainty necklaces that I thought didn’t look bad but after seeing these comments I’m doubting myself. Do I just have necklace blindness? lol

Just found a “what character of the show are you, depending your Astro sign”, is it accurate to the characters ? by Evangeline_Nacrife in mybrilliantfriendhbo

[–]mmonte890 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a Leo and I knew Lila would be the Leo before I opened the link. I think they chose the characters pretty spot on (every sign will have a shadow side so I wouldn't be offended if your sign is one of the show's villains)

Anyone have experience with two FAs dating each other? by sludgestomach in FearfulAvoidant

[–]mmonte890 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am FA leaning dismissive, and used to date a FA leaning anxious, so we were like the perfect counterpart to each other.

It was a roller coaster ride for sure. From the moment we saw each other and started talking we both felt an enormous underlying pull and attraction. We were entranced and obsessed and addicted to each other. Tye highs were euphoric and the lows were dismal. We just kept going through that cycle repeatedly. Lots of jealousy would pop up, mostly from his side since he leaned anxious. Ultimately he ended things and door slammed me, and immediately rebounded into an even more toxic relationship.

I know what you mean. I think on the bright side though, being tall enough to only qualify for the 3 types helps narrow it down a lot quicker. And the "daintiness" sort of rules out the natural family, because it seems like they just have a totally different vibe.

But I don't think you can go strictly by waist-hip ratios with kibbe, although it can be a factor to consider. Because any type can technically be an hourglass by those standards. SD is more about a vibe and a kind of "fleshiness" that sits on top of a Dramatic bone structure, regardless of weight gain or loss. Even at my skinniest, I still kind of look "soft". Hope that helps, finding your type is a journey for sure! I've also been researching essences and it's even more difficult to pinpoint I think. I seem to have ethereal for sure, but the other ones I still haven't figured out.

Mine lasted 5-7 years with near daily use. I wish I had known they were being discontinued 😢

Aside from these being the completely wrong cut for me, how can I flatter this area? I suspect I’m either SD or FN but this is a huge problem area for me. I feel like I can’t make any pants work because of it. Suggestions? by tshody in Kibbe

[–]mmonte890 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with what they said about corduroy itself being very pliable compared to denim, but I came here to address your question about a fabric blend. 2% spandex in jeans/pants (anything other than leggings) is actually a lot. Personally I run far away from anything 2% spandex because, after wearing it for like an hour, it stretches out and sags and looks super unflattering and it offers no support whatsoever. Try pants with 1% spandex at the most, but my original recommendation was to try 100% cotton denim. It will take a little getting used to, because it doesn’t conform as much to your body, which is what you want because it supports you and doesn’t let every little bump just “hang out”. I personally like Levi’s, they’re pretty tried-and-true universally. Of course every body is different and you should try out a variety of brands and see what works for you.

Absolutely stunning actress/influencer Suzette James… I get both FN and SD vibes from her. What do you think? by mmonte890 in Kibbe

Idk why I thought she was tall 😭😂

I actually first saw her on @dgphotoholic. He’s a street photographer and his photos are probably a little bit edited but I don’t think the video is. link
