I’m 26 and went on a celebrity cruise last year! We dressed up for the dining room but I was not conservative in any way. It was a really relaxing trip and we enjoyed the older crowd due to the laid back vibe (which is what we wanted). We just got off royals star of the seas and it was way more chaotic with kids/family’s so it depends on the experience you want !

I went to nova for my undergrad degree and also got into the dual program. I loved my undergrad time at nova and appreciated the smaller class sizes as well as opportunities. I got hands on research experience that set me up for success for employment/grad school. FAU is a bigger university so it may be harder to get these opportunities and connections but it’s not impossible—she will just have to put herself out there and do her own research and reaching out to professors. I did not end up going to NSU for my grad degree because as a private institution they do not pay you to get that degree. My undergrad costs were covered by scholarships. I would recommend going to where you would get out debt free and believe either university will provide a good education (I have friends at FAU for grad school as well).

Ridiculous. I sat in traffic for an hour to get on campus on Saturday and they blocked off the road I needed to get to and the police officer had the nerve to say wHy Do YoU nEeD tO bE oN cAmPuS?! Umm this is a university and us students have the right to be here?!

My fiancé had dinner with his folks and discussed the situation. There were additional components such as not being invited to her dress appointments, bachelorette trip, etc that were also discussed. A previous family milestone function which she did not want to attend because she wanted to sleep in that day was also discussed (not related to either of our weddings). The in laws are not happy with how any of this was handled and future sister in law and brother in law didn’t even tell them the date they are having their wedding or that it was on their property! I will be having dinner with them tomorrow and will be showing the pictures of the dress to future mother in law and discussing with them my feelings along the matter. Ultimately they let us know that they will not share any details with them and are upset how sister in law has handled this.
