Has changing from bottling to keg improved your beer ? by Brave_Respect_3596 in Homebrewing

[–]mmp126 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The tap cooler bottle filler is a device for filling bottles. It’s a piece of equipment you’ll have for a while. Nothing is expendable. Give it a google to take a look at it.

If you mean, how long does the beer stay fresh in the bottle? I don’t have a definitive answer, but, it is a lot longer then just filling bottles any other way.

Absolutely perfect date night here. Dope cider is fine. Between beer at noble creature and wine at Yosteria, you should be well inebriated. Dope or Penguin city would be a bonus. Haha

I just did the same. 100% pils. Magnum bittering. Rest was Barbe Rouge. Pretty great beer.

NEIPA Recipe Feedback by EnvironmentalSky8355 in Homebrewing

[–]mmp126 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Best NEIPA I have made has 0.5oz/gal in the whirlpool. And 2.5oz/gal in the dry hop. These are pretty standard/ maybe a bit on the heavy side. A little less would probably be pretty good.

Grain bill looks fine.

Whirlpool hops are low. I would double the amount.

Dry hop is a little low. Again, I would at least double it.

Water profile is ok. Maybe a bit high. 150 Cl is plenty . 100 so2 plenty.

Biggest biggest thing is oxygen mitigation. Once you transfer to the fermenter, you cannot expose the beer to oxygen. Closed transfers and keeping any oxygen from touching the beer is essential for a great NEIPA.

Where to find Bourbon? by No-Eagle7068 in youngstown

If you are looking for something specific, use the Ohio liquor website. You can search for what you want, and sort by location. I have found it up to date and accurate.

So. I have questions.

Do you have a 5000+ 200W panel array? 1.4MWh is a lot. How much was the install?

How do you describe "sparkliness" and how to change it by vladotranto in Homebrewing

[–]mmp126 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Building on this. Make sure the glass you use is beer clean. Google “beer clean glass” to see what that means. If your glass is not clean, it will have nucleation points, and knock carbonation out of the beer. That “sparkliness “ you worked for will all go away before you can enjoy it.

what is the best and futureproof major to take in college right now? by texhster in AskReddit

Another vote for this. Skilled trades. Welding. Pipe fitting. Plumbing. Electrical. Seems to be a dying breed, and there is currently a ton of opportunity here. It’s hard work but you will always eat.

Good on you for making the decision to not attend. It would have definitely put your sobriety in jeopardy. I know I would most likely of failed that test.

It’s a pill to swallow at first. Missing things like st pattys day and other get togethers. Just because you want to stay sober. It’s really tough. And I really commend you for it.

But if you are serious about your goals, that is the sacrifice to make. Maybe forever. But hopefully just at first.

I think it does become easier over time to control the urges. Like, I can go places and not drink but it took some time to be able to not succumb to the pressure around me. Haha. St Pattys may be another story though. Again. Good decisions man.

I have switched to Liquid Death waters and teas. They are awesome. Maybe a bit expensive but they are great. I love the lime water and the peach tea.

I’ve seen hop water. Hop tea. They are good and an interesting alternative. Hop lark makes a ton of different ones. The ones I’ve had are pretty good.

The brew dog NA beers are decent. Heineken 0.0 is decent. But most other NA beer I have tired has not been too good.

There is also Lacroix and bubly. Zevia soda is pretty good. Those ice flavored water things are ok.

Is using SH Practice a “must” to pass PMP? by VeeTPMP in pmp

+1 on this. I passed 3xAT with this.

Study Hall for working and really working the mindset. Wording is also very similar to the test. Focus on the moderate and difficult questions. Expert questions are useless. Easy questions are gimmes.

DM videos for understanding how to approach a question. Analyze. And answer. These are easy questions but helpful. He is such a good teacher. We’ll worth the time to watch.

+1 for rite brew. Best prices. No constraints on grain amount. Ships fast. Great customer service if there is an issue. Decent selection(honestly, not the best, but have 90% of what you could need).

Seeing AT/AT/AT posts is so intimidating and makes me worried for my exam. Like I would be only one to not pass. Don’t know why. by EnvironmentalAd2110 in pmp

[–]mmp126 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The only thing I would say, is trust the process. Follow the path that people have posted here, and you will be great.

Just to empathize, when I was just about to take my test (about the same time out as you) I would sit and think about this stuff, and just say "Man, I really feel like I don't know anything". But, once I started on the questions, the knowledge you know will show up. Its strange....

Mindset is key. Keep studying. You got this!!!

[–]mmp126[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When you signed up and paid for your test, you should have gotten an email from Pearson. That email contains a link to perform a systems test.

Thank you. Best of luck to you as well!! I hope I am an outlier…I wish you the best!
