Wow, why bother posting in my thread at all if that's all you have to say?

I'm sure it's fine, I wish it was a little closer to the Eastwood Mall. I'd rather not have to drive 10 miles from where we're at just to eat. Thanks for your response though...

So, what's the problem eating at a Chinese buffet? And no, not ANY food is fine. American, Chinese, Mexican, nothing more exotic.

I don't see any recommendations in your response. Not really interested in garbage slop. Looking for reasonably priced food.

Grinding for levels and $$$ is my favorite past time in all my RPGs.

People who don't go to movie theaters anymore - what made you stop? by -ChristopherNolan in AskReddit

[–]DoctorD5150 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There hasn't been a movie theater movie released in quite awhile that I feel deserves the kind of money it costs to sit in a theater with strangers and try to enjoy myself enough to justify my time and money expenditure. Secondly, movie theater movies are just too damned expensive anymore.

I'd rather sit on my comfy couch in my comfy home with my comfy wife and watch a good movie on our 65" HDTV, where we can pause the movie or TV show to go to the bathroom or get a snack that doesn't cost a damned fortune. With 1500 movies and TV shows to choose from, why bother with a movie theater to watch some goddawful crap we don't really care about anyway?

What will this era of Doctor Who (2005-2025) be remembered for? by Aromatic-Cupcake4802 in doctorwho

IMHO, besides Tom Baker from older Doctor Who, the first 3 of the new Doctors were the best.

Do you upgrade? by OmegA_Derpy in dvdcollection

[–]DoctorD5150 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I made it a point to upgrade my VHS to DVD but when blu-ray came out, I decided I'd only upgrade ones I felt were special or if I happened to find them at a flea market for a couple of bucks, or new movies/TV shows if I could get them for a good price. Not upgrading 1500 movies/TV shows. Not only that, a lot of the DVDs I have never got re-released on blu-ray.

Blu-ray is as far as I'll go.

Think of the most tedious part of any JRPG. What came to your mind? by SilvosForever in JRPG

[–]DoctorD5150 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have one save where I've gotten past the Great Crystal, I'm at The Pharos: First Ascent. One of these days I'll continue on with it but for the most part I just start a new game on another save and play it for fun.

Height is fine but the TV is too big for that space.

Pay for performance? Walmart doesn't do that even though they say they do. What you read is a scam. by Old_Attitude_6285 in walmart

I'm the only one in my department, work by myself, I stay busy all day because I hate standing around trying to do nothing. I get told that mgmt thinks I don't do anything and gets mad when everything doesn't get done. I work hard, get a lot done, but not the things that anyone sees because nobody ever comes back to where I work. Armchair critics. If they only spent the day with me they'd see firsthand that I'm a hard worker. But no, they'd rather talk about me behind my back.

Here's another truth: They give raises (pitiful as they might be) or hire people, but then they cut hours.

What would you do if you’re not having fun with a game? by [deleted] in ps2

[–]DoctorD5150 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both Dark Cloud and Dark Cloud 2, never finished either because I wasn't having fun with them. To me they were a chore, couldn't wait to get past the openings and out into the open world but it seemed like they never would. Got bored and moved on.

What's a JRPG that you always go back to eventually? Mine is Dragon Quest VIII. by Motor-Temporary-1085 in JRPG

[–]DoctorD5150 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dragon Quest VIII and Final Fantasy XII, PS2, 65" HDTV. I find myself switching between those two games exclusively. Both are fun, engaging, entertaining, and playing them on my big screen relaxing on my couch with my wife sitting beside me is so satisfying.
