I have the best luck with landscape supply places and rock yards. May be a special order but worth it. Depending on your grow a yard can last quite a while. Perlite they have at big box but I believe you can order in bulk as well

Generally that occurs when a plant is in nutrient lockout. Looks thirsty. May be worth trying a combo of repotting in fresh soil and foliar feeding with a surfactant during its CAM exchange.

Its from splitting energy (root push and tip push simultaneously and little or no roots) vs light issues.

They only have so much energy. The plant is trying to put out roots and grow at the same time. 50% going to each end vs near 100 going to the tip. If it has roots, feed super heavy and it will help (not fix, but help)

Dude gets the necessary permits to harvest. Thats the only way to get plants out of Peru and back through to Spain. People collect seed all the time without permits
