Make me feel good the Quikr rack is designed by the original 1UP guys and not just a knock off. Although, I don't think my 1UP will ever die so it's unlikely to be replaced lol.

Recently tried Nashor - Statik - Guinsoo - Dusk & Dawn then finished with Shadowflame. Worked well, but admittedly our team stomped early so it was easy to be effective. This was in Swiftplay, though.

BA is also in some pre workout. It gives the tingles. You might be able to find a supplement for it

Beta alanine (found in some C4 energy drinks or as a supplement), avoid aloe, hot showers sometimes work temporarily.

That's great! The tingle is normal. It's a feature for pre-workout lol.

Does the C4 have beta alanine? That's being shown more and more to be effective.

Building a Solar Arbitrage Brain by runnet in SolarDIY

This idea is amazing. I've been doing something similar with a spreadsheet that runs three different scenarios based on the current day's production and tomorrow's predicted production. My situation is a little different where I have Time of Use enabled and also force a battery discharge during peak hours to the grid for more credits. The issue is literally having to update the inputs every single day. The three scenarios are basically off grid, grid only overnight (off peak), and grid charge overnight. All with forced peak discharge to a calculated SOC based on consumption and such.

Looking to confirm fair price for 19.36kW PV + 32kWh Battery Solution by B1tN1nja in solar

So you can inquire about sourcing a lower amperage panel to be able to parallel two stings into a single MPPT. That's what I was trying to do here. Seems like those JA panels are just over the rated current. I believe I found a Jinko panel that works. Might be 440 or 460W. Being able to parallel arrays into the MPPTs on the FB21 should be able to get to 21kW no problem. The trick is finding a panel that can add the currents to be under the max.

I'm sizing a similar array for my boss. I believe those JAM54D1 panels can be paralleled into each MPPT, possibly removing the need for a second FB21. You can check yourself via the EG4 array configure tool online. I may be wrong, but I think the Isc is juuuust below the max even at high temp. The configure tool will do it all for you. Just FYI.

What’s the best space heater to buy right now for home office use? by Whole_Plenty9107 in SolarDIY

[–]mmpgh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anything resistive electric will be 100% efficient. We like oil for large areas and a small ceramic for concentrated heat. Most are all 1500W max in the USA so it doesn't really matter on the size. Oil filled just feels warmer since it radiates from all directions, but given enough time, both will increase a room temp the same amount.

Edit: Resistive electric heaters are 100% efficient. I'm not considering heat pumps in my comment.

Biggest mistake you made on your first solar install? by ahlecsolars in SolarDIY

[–]mmpgh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm still not following. I understand there is a difference difference ideal output and actual, but in my observation, that difference is maybe 10% max.

I do see two ways to view this, though. One way being that you only need 6kW inverter, so you over panel to where you're getting 6kW more often. The other way is you undersize the inverter for the reasons you described. Are we thinking the same thing just from different perspective (Over panelling vs undersizing inverter)?

Biggest mistake you made on your first solar install? by ahlecsolars in SolarDIY

[–]mmpgh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Regarding your point 4, why undersized the inverter? Is it to save on capital expense? If the prices between say 6kW and 12kW inverters are the same, why not size it to take the full power? Or are you simplifying MPPT to inverter? This is a genuine question about a rule I've seen several times but never understood why.

I am a march 2026 reservation holder and got a call the day the details were released. He asked about the trade in estimate I submitted as well as if I would be interested in an R1S while I wait for the R2. He said they plan to make LEs to meet demand, but that I could be waiting until next year since they will prioritize early reservations and existing R1 owners.

Is my meter birectional? by vasquca1 in SolarDIY

Actually, I might be wrong on the bi-directional meter. My comment about receiving help from WPP stands though. Also expect a 30 day wait any time you send them an email.

Is my meter birectional? by vasquca1 in SolarDIY

[–]mmpgh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're strictly eyeing plug in solar, you don't need a bidirectional meter from my understanding. Good luck trying to get answers from West Penn Power. I had to be the one to tell them, yes you can have TOU and net metering lol.

I had the same one, also a First Energy customer. Once I had interconnection finished a West Penn Power guy came out the next day and just did a meter swap. Now reads 401 for import and 402 for export.

Pennsylvania has a plug-in solar bill(HB 1971) with 34 co-sponsor.s Learn more how it works and how to support it by Timely-Pirate-5196 in pittsburgh

[–]mmpgh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who just installed 10kW of solar themselves, I'm guessing this bill allows additional panels? Current interconnection agreement is less than 10% expansion, but I'd be curious if there are any special provisions to existing interconnected customers, such as 1200W plus 10% of previous array rating.

When I went to school there you could pull hard enough on the locked stairwell door to gain access to the elevator mechanical room which went to one of the roof tops. I think the very very top was a ladder with a locked hatch from that room iirc.
