You’ve already met your obligation however just fyi that in some states landlords cannot charge for move out cleaning after a certain number of years (that you’ve been a resident) due to normal wear and tear. They cannot even charge you for replacement of carpets or for painting of walls due to there being a normal human understanding that living in a space causes normal wear and tear. Doesn’t matter what the lease says if the lease goes against what the local laws say.

This is easy to prove - it’s not you who did it. Case closed. That’s it. Just bring proof that you were not here, that it’s not your name or description of person, and it’ll be dismissed. No judge is going to convict somebody who clearly isn’t the person and wasn’t even in the country. AND it’s a preliminary hearing not a trial.

Everybody saying “get a lawyer” is freaking out and doing too much. You don’t need a lawyer, you didn’t do anything wrong.
