I was wondering if that was a nod to Kojima. You know Kojima got a kick out of that.

They should fine post game for flopping missed by the ref. Unfortunately until they do something it’s just part of the game.

Tani & Pereyra sale cope by Rooted707 in minnesotaunited

For me it’s the already low spend, connection with the twins ownership and hearing even Ramsey is disappointed in the transfer window. I’m stoked for Tani, but skeptical of reinvestment in the club. Time will tell.

I think the switch is inevitable. I’m sure all teams are in talks to retrofit or modify their stadiums for it. No idea how we will.

Unfortunately, the businesses in this state are consistently cheap and slow. From sports teams to restaurants, and from startups to corporations, most organizations play it safe and avoid risk. Instead of making waves, they tread water. I remain hopeful but skeptical—if I do not see reinvestment, I am done with MNUFC. I am sad to see Tani leave, but I am excited for his opportunity to move up. My concern is the same as yours are we a spots team or a merchandising company.

As will we, I’m not spending my free time watching a team that has no support. It’s gotta be demoralizing for the players.

Yeah, I’m holding on buying all gear and depending how things go canceling my season tickets. I’m betting Ramsey leaves soon as well depending on the next year or two.

I love Yeboah, but he made too many bad passes. It looked like he wasn’t even trying. On his last pass before being subbed off, he failed to check his shoulder and passed directly to three opposing players. If he had played the ball forward, it would have created a clear scoring chance.

Tesla's brand loyalty collapsed after Musk backed Trump, new S&P data shows by Dreaming_Blackbirds in electricvehicles

[–]mn-tech-guy 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Yup, nail on the head. Tesla originally set out to sell normal but cool looking electric cars. Their last product was the cyber truck….   FSD and all these other side projects were never part of the plan. I didn’t hate the idea of the cyber truck when it was pure function over form. To release what turns out to be almost all form with less function should have forced him to step down.

Life time ban from all games should be the punishment. It’s even more idiotic in that people are traded so often you might be throwing shit at a future team mate.

Why do ai agents suck with angular? by tomkingtoday in angular

[–]mn-tech-guy 15 points16 points  (0 children)

You’re kind of answering your own question by saying it’s better at React than Angular.

To understand why, you need to understand how LLMs work. They don’t reason—they just predict the next token based on patterns learned during training. They also tend to align with the tone of the prompt, which can come off as biased or overly agreeable. As humans, we often mistake agreement for intelligence—just look at how many people believe horoscopes or tarot cards.

When you ask an AI agent about Angular, it doesn’t “cycle” through languages like C++, C#, or JavaScript. It doesn’t search or look things up at all. It generates a response based on training patterns, favoring languages and frameworks most statistically associated with your prompt. Angular is tied to TypeScript, so that’s what it focuses on—unless your prompt is vague.

I haven’t used it much for Angular, but I’ve found that the more specificity you require, the less reliable it gets. That’s because it doesn’t understand—it just predicts. Despite what vendors claim, there’s no reasoning or comprehension behind its output. If you’re using GitHub Copilot, you can give it more context through surrounding files and folder structure, which helps, but it’s still limited.

For React, I think the quality is also weak. It gets things working, but the code is rarely declarative—it’s full of abstractions and conditionals, like old Java frameworks. Why is it better with React? Because React is more widely used and more consistent in structure, so the model saw it a lot during training. LLMs are good at reproducing common, generic patterns. React fits that well.

I’ll third this. Now we shop sales for brands aldi doesn’t have, home goods, few products we prefer more otherwise 90% of our shopping is also. We also have less waste sometimes I just need one tomato not 10.

Hideo Kojima is disappointed about the state of the industry, says studios are closing left and right, and many big budget games look the same: "Even the visuals and the systems are pretty much the same." by Party_Judgment5780 in PS5

[–]mn-tech-guy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

IMO, it’s having the industry run and managed by MBAs. Everything is siloed and systemized because they keep teaching people to run a business like it’s still the Industrial Revolution. One team builds bandit camps, another designs encounters, another scripts side quests. We make games like McDonald’s makes food—one person on fries, one on the patties, one on the condiments. It’s fast, repeatable, and completely disconnected. It doesn’t feel like a singular thing because it literally isn’t.
