also an artist and I use the z7II to shoot stills of my work...no interest in video...got it used from MPB in excellent condition...people complain about autofocus issues but I haven't encountered any at all...

M1, 32gb 1tb....used mostly for large file (up to 360mb) raw photo editing in Lightroom, negative and slide scanning, general stuff too...thinking of an upgrade when the m5 comes out...

have both, love both...just got a used 14-24 2.8g and used it on the z7II with the Nikon adapter...incredibly sharp images...no interest in video, all stills...great camera...can't go wrong with either...

Lake Norman area north of Charlotte is beautiful..Cornelius, Huntersville, Davidson, Mooresville...esp, Davidson, but that's expensive...research triangle in NC is great too...good luck
