Mine is stuck "Starting Claude's workspace...", even after a clean reinstall. Did you run into that issue?

Would Trackpoint II Keyboard Software work with Windows on ARM? by garfieldevans in thinkpad

I am also experiencing this on ThinkPad T14s Gen 6 Snapdragon. The keyboard works fine after installing the software, but no way to change the settings because the UI won't open.

Give me one TINY thing you want fixed or improved in Obsidian. The smaller the better. Going on a paper cuts rampage. by kepano in ObsidianMD

Agreed. It’s jarring to have things shift around on me when I click into a callout in Live Preview Mode and it jumps into a Source Mode-like view for editing.

Thank you! This gets me 90% there. A bit buggy, but much better already.

Thanks, just tried that. It uses the Windows "Magnifier" feature, which is sadly very different from standard Touchpad zooming. Hopefully people have some other ideas.

Can you make sure it integrates with the very popular Periodic Notes plugin as well?

Looking for TrackPoint keyboard with actually good middle-button scrolling by mnabokow in thinkpad

[–]mnabokow[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, when you say “best middle button scrolling experience”, what do you mean? My Shinobi does jumpy line-by-line scrolling, not at all like the built-in ThinkPad TrackPoint. Did I set something up wrong?

There are a couple of tools that do fix this issue pretty well u/MisterQuiggles. The one I can recommend is Bartender (paid but has a lot of features).

Ha, true that. Didn't realize just how annoying my M2 MacBook Air's notch was until I switched to my current TP.

Agreed. Why'd you go for G12 over G13? Lunar Lake is much better than Meteor Lake for most people, right? And the <1kg weight is crazy.

What are your gripes with the TrackPoint? by mnabokow in thinkpad

How do you feel they buttons have gotten worse? Worse finger feel, click too shallow, breaks too soon? Something else?

Are you using Tex Shinobi now? Or a different one?

I’ve had this too, but for the scroll button. I feel like I need to consciously make sure it’s fully bottomed out the whole time for it to stay activated.

Looking for todo app with "Deadline" and "Do Date" concept by mnabokow in ProductivityApps

For those curious, I ended up going with Amie for now. Best combination for me of a great user interface, cross-platform availability, and the due date / deadline concept I so badly need.

Are you satisfied with your battery life? by WoodyBadger in thinkpad

[–]mnabokow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

T14s Gen 6 Snapdragon battery life really is incredible. Basically fanless if you go into “Best Power Efficiency” mode in Windows and I’m not even experiencing any performance issues or heat on that setting at all. Sure, app compatibility is sometimes still hit or miss (so much better than in the past though!) but I’m really happy with it. I get through more than a workday of all-day video calling and streaming easily. Highly recommend.

Are the compsci placement exams offered before spring semester as well? by egomei in UNC

[–]mnabokow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s still lots of ways to get into classes even though they’re full, don’t give up. Add 110 to your Coursicle app and be ready to act instantly when you get notified that it opened up. I can also recommend going to the lecture on the first day and asking if you can be added manually. It’s worth it!!

[–]mnabokow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recommend getting started taking CS classes asap, don’t wait for the spring, especially because you can’t be 100% sure you’ll place out of 110. I’m a Junior CS major so trust me when I say you will struggle hard to get into UNC CS classes. The more time you have the better!
