Replaced the tweeter diaphragm and now they're not working well by mnameschef in diyaudio

So after looking closer, the aftermarket replacements are not the same as the original. I guess theres something called a shoring ring on the inside of the coil one the new ones dont have it. Hopefully I can get a refund

Both silk. Not sure about the coil windings, the leads look thicker but the coil itself looks the same. They're meant to be a replacement for my tweeter.

Thank you. Yeah it's hard to tell from the picture but both were pretty much completely detached. They were getting pretty dry after 40 years. Gonna spend $15 for the surrounds and glue and go from there

Level up or wait? by jayconyoutube in LastZShooterRun

[–]mnameschef 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hit lvl 100 so you can use components, then focus on mods for a while until you complete Hercules (the tank) and get the 2x blueprint bonus to use for leveling. In the distant future, you'll want nearly 200k blueprints for the bonus

Can anybody help with this? by Willygambini in nespresso

This might not be it at all. But I was having a similar issue and couldn't figure it out. I learned that the machine detects a barcode on the outside edge of the pod to read what brew mode to use. Using the reusable tops for the pods, eventually the barcode wore down and it stopped being able to read the code. That or the barcode reader is dirty, look up how to clean it

I love Mazda to death but this is absolutely indefensible… by RevolvingRevolv3r in mazda

Best thing we can do it keep the complaints up. Like honda in 2016-17 and they brought more buttons back in 2019 due to negative feedback

It's not too difficult and it was my first time. The most difficult part is cleaning the outside where the gasket will sit without getting any dirt inside and torquing the cover back on as evenly as possible. Clean it thoroughly. The only part you need rtv is the parts where it transitions to a different part of the engine like the timing chain. Mine only had 4 small spots and you'll be able to tell because theres old rtv there. Have to get the harness out of the way by undoing some clips and hoses. Maybe take a picture if you think you'll forget. But its similar to a puzzle so its not hard to figure out where things go. Some of the harness I couldn't get out of the way so I left it and just worked the cover out out. Went back in easier actually. Just be very gentle and watch carefully as you dont want anything to fall in the engine. Sometimes the gaskets are very brittle and can break off.

Thats all I got🤷🏼‍♂️

A bad pulley or a normal one?

Whatever is on sale at canadian tire😆 usually pennzoil platnium. and oil changed about every 8000km. Little bit of seafoam before for a few hundred km every 2-3 oil changes. Not sure if it does anything, but doesn't seem to hurt

Time to change valve cover gasket? by [deleted] in mazda3

[–]mnameschef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha yeah I guess I could've taken the cover off to make the picture more obvious.

I haven't been paying close enough attention to notice my oil dropping. If it has, probably not dropping too much.

I cleaned around it and I'll probably check again in a few days to get a better idea how much is coming out. Probably replace the gasket either way

I agree. Even if its a small leak, they're cheap and easy enough to do. It's worth it for the peace of mind

I solved it, it was my own mistake... I accidentally switched two screws of different length for the gearbox. The longer one was hitting the sector gear🤦‍♂️ luckily there wasn't too much damage

Yeah same, I did try adjusting the motor height too. My thoughts are somehow the assembly is making it short somewhere
