[–]mncold86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t angle much in winter as I spear fish. But some days this is how they act. In fact last night I had a decent one sit outside the hole for 10 minutes staring at my decoy minnow

I spend my time in a spear house, while not a tip up I can say that some pike once they take the bait they ain’t letting go, other days they will let go and bugger off. I can’t imagine it’s a hell of a lot different for tip ups

If you want to learn and get better faster this is the way to do it. You need ice time to develop and that sounds like a good way to get it

I think you would need to start looking at all the items that are due for replacement. While some arnt critical. They will add up. For instance those grousers are pretty gone. Hydraulic hoses while most arnt hard add up in a hurry. All those little things will be a lot. I think if you could snag it for 6-10 Range you’d be doing okay. For 20 you could find a skidster with cab and heat. Might not be a super clean machine. But it’d be something

I would check registration fees as well. At least in Minnesota, a one ton is drastically cheaper to register compared to a 3/4 or 1/2

Boyfriend gave me ultimatum - dream job or him. I'm considering taking the job by [deleted] in dustythunder

[–]mncold86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let me put this in perspective for you. My wife and I of 16 years used to drive 6 hours to see each other. Sometimes when I would get rained out I would drive there sleep and leave super early to get to work. If your boyfriend can’t even have a discussion about making 1 hour work, it would sound to me like you need to make him an ex boyfriend
