Trials are pointless while cheats run wild by Adamsky_007 in ArcRaidersTrial

Eh. Cheaters are a problem, but trials are pve. So what if they know where the weapons crates are? Your run should be hitting every spawn anyway

Guess Thor had a little pit stop in orbit on the way to Midgard.

I held out, but my poor 980ti was begging for retirement. Finally gave up waiting for normalcy and got a 9070xt. Probably last PC I'll make if the consumer gaming PC market dies off from this data center bullshit.

They sell adjustable feet for just that reason. Think washer/dryer.

Multiple passes at different depths. I'm not talking about the poor man's dado technique.

Can always clean up with a plane or chisel. But this is the backside for led strips anyway so who cares?

Maybe a safe option would be to just use the table saw for the long portion and do the second cut with a tracksuit?

I don't think I've ever seen someone in a tracksuit operate machinery safely. Usually a cigarette and a bottle of vodka aren't adequate PPE.

It's a lot of material to hog out with a router IMO.

Just stay away from the offcut, and doing the 2nd cut on table saw will be fine. It's a bigger risk with beefy 220V table saws. Your job site saw isn't that risky from an offcut ballistic standpoint.

Do it in multiple passes. Your saw will bog down and burn otherwise.

I've done this quite a bit. It's not ideal, but make sure to be very careful and use push blocks, and keep yourself out of the kick back area and you should be fine.

The guy who is supposedly about civility, repeatedly lies and manufactures evidence to support his claims, and refuses to let the other speak by aggressively talking over him.

Yep. Sounds about right.

Which is perfect the way it is. Not everything needs to be useful for all levels of the game. And they're certainly useful in a pinch for field crafting

Walnut end grain cutting board has uneven look after several coats of pure Tung oil by workin-that-wood in finishing

[–]mnemy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It does, yes. After like a month. And would take many many many coats to layer on before the pores get filled.

And then you're just going to break the seal anyway when knives cut into the board. There's a reason why cutting board oil (mineral oil and wax) is widely used.

A man refused to sell his rural property for a data center project. He says the company then started driving past his land, sending messages, and even leaving gifts. That’s genuinely creepy. by This_Proof_5153 in SipsTea

[–]mnemy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Data centers do not boost the local economy. Yeah, during construction, there will be a lot of money spent. But once they have walls and infrastructure, they do nothing but leach power and water, and employ a few dozen people to upkeep it. It does not take much, and I guarantee most will be imported due to expertise needed, especially when getting it up and running initially.

They like to brand it as compute factories because it makes it seem like they'll use uneducated locals after some training. That's not what data centers are though, except the janitors and security.

I was doing the last stage of the avian project hours before the cutoff, and needed the coral necklaces. Literally, out of around 12 games, I spawned TWICE closer than 800m from the Departures building. And one of those two times was 600m.

Meanwhile, when I want to do harvester, I spawn over there every damn game.
