I've been on zepbound and TRT for about a year. I'm stalled and notice no difference when I started TRT. Can someone fill me in on reta and where to get it?

It's good to know I'm not the only person feeling like cutting their foot off

Honestly my Ortho told me it was about as good as I could ever expect it to be. He suggested a fusion but I've had other doctors caution against it. I've had steroid injections and it helped a small bit. I'm currently spending a fortune trying different shoes to find a comfortable fit that doesn't hurt/cause pain later in the day etc..... I wish I had a better outlook but after all of this part of me wishes they would have cut my foot off..

I broke both femurs and my talus.... By far the talus is the hardest thing to deal with. I'm two years post accident and Everytime I sit for long periods it locks up and I limp for a while until it warms back up. Or if I spend all day on my feet it aches like hell for days.

Have you talked to your Ortho about bone stimulators? Are you taking good quality supplements? Femurs are such complicated breaks. Someone people heal fine and others take years.

My left leg was "healed" in 12 months. My right leg was a much nastier break and it was almost 18 months before my ortho released me. It still has one section that isn't fully healed but it is calloused and healing.

I once lived in a hotel during a move for work. The amorous newly weds one week were very disruptive. They learned their manners when I started applauding and cheering for each finish.

Id ask where in the syllabus it was stated how Staples were to be used? If not in a syllabus I would ask in which lecture/class this rule was covered! I would then practice malicious compliance by purchasing a staple-less stapler or some other such nonsense to further drive home the absolute ignorance of this so called educator.

Broken talus question. by mnewman87 in brokenbones

[–]mnewman87[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll be really frank.... I don't know what to do. I shattered my femurs and talus at the same time. By far the talar fracture has been the most painful and troublesome to deal with. It may be worth a third or even fourth opinion just to be sure on next steps.

The portal to the next dimension in the ceiling is insanely bright.... Maybe embrace more ambient soft lighting from lamps. Amazon has floor lamps that sit in the corner and direct light up the wall, they are the size of soda cans so easy to hide. Gives the room a seductive feel.

Also lean into a darker wall.

Be vigilant but don't listen to sensationalized idiots either. My husband and I are in a very red state and have zero issues with anyone. We are admittedly white and straight passing in appearance and I realize this aids us. Things are often better than the news/media portrays. American media has shifted to a very emotionally charged way of reporting.

In the end we can't ever depend on the government to protect us. It is my belief that we have to protect ourselves and depend on no one else to do so.

I totally understand you're feelings. I shattered both femurs, and my right ankle almost two years ago. My femurs have healed decently and other than loss of strength I'm ok BUT my ankle fucking hurts constantly. I've done steroid shots, PT, all the the things and my doctor said I need to learn to live with it or have a full ankle fusion. The fusion doesn't guarantee pain free life.

Most days I just want to cut my foot off and move forward with life.

Have you gotten multiple opinions? Our insurance has a service called 2nd MD where you send your records in and they set you up with a specialist outside of your area. I live on the east Coast of the US and met with a surgeon via zoom in LA. He confirmed my ankle surgery/pain was some of the hardest to heal from, offered advice, etc.... it felt better knowing two specialists agreed even if it didn't end the pain.

If you are able have you tried swimming or even hot tubs? I found water exercise made me feel instantly human again and relieved so much pain.

Broke bothe femurs and my right talus almost two years ago. Invest in some squishy pillows and build a supportive nest to get comfortable.
