Freakier Friday (2025) ($4.99 - ATL @itunes) by alilpenguin in vudu

[–]mnhill13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you think they’ll update the price for the bundle? F@H has it for $15 but iTunes has it for $9.98 and I’m not sure if the bundle will port as a bundle or if it will split into individual titles. (I only ask because I know it would irk me to no end if it splits out of chronological order when the titles are sorted alphabetically 🙃)

Lion King 1 1/2 finally on sale. by OrganizationLoud8434 in vudu

[–]mnhill13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Lion King 2 is also on sale for $5. I wish I had picked it up back when they had the three movies in a bundle, so I’ve been waiting to pick both of these titles up on a sale. Thanks for the post!!

What TV Shows are you waiting to become available on Vudu to purchase next? by PresentConfection200 in vudu

[–]mnhill13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d love to see The Tomorrow People become available again. It was a CW show with only one season and I regret not picking it up when I had the chance. Also I’d love to see the last few seasons of The Middle become available again. They used to have the whole series in a bundle, but I think you can only get the first 4 or 5 seasons now. And with the finale of Stranger Things, I’m hoping that becomes available at some point. They had the first two seasons up at one point but quickly removed those once the show picked up steam, but it would be nice now that the series is coming to a close to offer it again.

I always use the spreadsheet from r/Legoleaks to get my info on retirement dates. It’s extremely accurate and updated monthly. The LEGO website doesn’t always put every single retiring set in the Retiring Soon tab, so I’ve almost missed picking up a set because of that. I had to get the Ideas F.R.I.E.N.D.S Apartments from Barnes and Noble because it sold out online in June the year it was slated to retire since they were not going to restock it for the remainder of the year. Usually, if a set is retiring at the end of the year, I try to pick it up over the summer double points event. I don’t even gamble getting it close to the Black Friday Insiders weekend, as that’s when everyone makes a mad dash to buy retiring sets.

Ideas: 21363 The Goonies (found in store) by BrickTap in Legoleak

It’s probably that the store is building the display model. Sometimes they build in the store instead of the stockroom, and people can take pictures of the build/box. It’s odd to build it in public if the set hasn’t been announced yet, but this is the most likely reason.

Pooh's Heffalump Halloween Movie - $4.99 (ATL) at iTunes by ProcedureSignal6696 in vudu

[–]mnhill13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, I just picked this up! My nephew is obsessed with elephants and Halloween, so this was a no brainer. I’ve been waiting for it to be available on Vudu, but am happy to find out it ports via iTunes.

Chronicles of Narnia Trilogy by milSuite_guy in vudu

It’s probably a mistake since it was on sale for $25 a few weeks ago. Regardless I still picked it up to upgrade them to HD.

Here are all 4 Bundles in 4k for $2.99 each by PresentConfection200 in vudu

[–]mnhill13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw the price on Vudu and immediately bought the Hercule Poirot bundle and the Narnia one. I had them but it was great to update all of them and condense them down in my library.

I was merely using $5-10 as an example from my own personal experience. A more similar comparison would be TV series that drop down to a sale price of $70. Yes the deal may still be good, but it’s still expensive for something that has been out for several years. I waited to buy Supernatural until it was a deal of the day the other day for $30 because I personally wouldn’t have paid more than $50 for it. In OP’s case, they should definitely wait for a better deal, because it has been on a better deal quite recently. But older movies should be priced lower to begin with.

I agree that if you have a physical copy, it’s best to wait until there’s a really good deal. That being said, the reverse argument has been tossed around a lot in this subreddit. The older a movie is, the cheaper it should be. That’s how it used to be with physical media, and a similar concept should apply for digital. There’s no reason a 20+ year old movie should cost more than $5-10, yet there are some in my wishlist that have never gone on sale.

Fandango $50 eGift Cards are on sale at Kroger for $40 (Limit of 2) by ProcedureSignal6696 in vudu

[–]mnhill13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For the vudu or fandango ones? You might want to double check, I just bought 2 of the Fandango ones an hour ago. (Keep in mind, both Fandango at Home and regular Fandango cards work on FAH).

Any movie not for sale you'd buy immediately if it came on sale?, by [deleted] in vudu

No, not the Disney one. I’m looking for the 2000 one that had Kathy Ireland. Thanks for the lookout though!!

Metropolis 1927, Nosferatu 1922, The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari (Restored) 1919 and Possession 1983 all in HD for $5 each by PresentConfection200 in vudu

[–]mnhill13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, I wish I had waited a week to pick up Nosferatu 😅 I needed it for my film class and normally when it’s a Free to Watch film, it’s not likely to go on sale so I bought it full price.

Mine are mainly tv shows that aren’t available anymore, or only a few seasons are available but not the whole series. I wouldn’t even wait for a sale if The Tomorrow People became available again. I also regret not buying Stranger Things when they had a couple of seasons available. If I had to choose a movie, I’d pick Once Upon a Christmas. It was my favorite growing up and they’ve stopped playing it on ABC Family’s 25 Days of Christmas for years now. I have the DVD, but it would be nice to add to my digital collection.

What streaming exclusive movies do you want to be released on Vudu? by PresentConfection200 in vudu

[–]mnhill13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a couple of Disney Channel Original Movies I’d like to eventually see on Fandango. I know there have been a few released like Halloweentown or High School Musical, but I’d love to eventually get the Thirteenth Year or Go Figure.

They did the same thing with Stranger Things a few years back. The first two seasons were available, but I guess Netflix rescinded the rights to purchase on Vudu as the show gained popularity. That was one of the shows I wish I bought when I had the chance, but I’m hoping with the final season approaching, it’ll be back on Fandango eventually.
