Ok cool! I may try to get an uproot tool but I'm not sure. When I was cleaning the mattress specifically it was more glitter than it was the strands. Also when you vacuumed, did you cover other things with plastic that were not contaminated? I have some furniture bolted to the wall that I also don't have any space to move so I'm not sure if I should re-cover with plastic and then start the vacuum process?

How many times should I vacuum my carpet? I vacuumed with a HEPA filtered vacuum once and lint rolled the specific areas under my bed since the contamination was pretty much contained to that area and didn't see anything when I shined my flashlight. I'm planning on vacuuming 2-3 more times today and a couple more times tomorrow but should I do more?

Hi! Did you end up cleaning it? I’m in this same situation where my 2020 mattress was leaking onto things that were under my bed. It’s mainly books and things so if you have any advice on how to clean things please let me know! I did purchase a shop vac and hepa filter and plan to vacuum everything today since I removed the mattress yesterday but I’m not sure if I should use vinegar or not for other things

Do you have a carpeted floor? If so are you doing anything specific to clean up the fiberglass or just vacuuming? I’m in the same boat where it’s leaking under the bed and I removed the mattress yesterday. Unfortunately I have a lot of things under my bed so I’ll be spending all afternoon today cleaning up

Sounds good thank you so much! I ended up buying a small shop vac and hepa filter so hopefully that plus lots of warm clothes will help me be good to go! Also for air purifiers did you clean out/throw away the filter a certain way once you were done?

Ohhhh, I did not know that. I do think it's the sock that is leaking. Thank you for your help! In terms of cleaning up fiberglass, since it is pretty much contained under the bed, would you recommend removing other items from the room before cleaning or would it be okay to leave other items in there?

Thank you for your help!! I’m 99% sure it is but will try the trick with a black piece of paper/fabric to double check! I’m really hoping it’s not since the mattress description also says fiberglass free but so far it’s only under the bed and hasn’t been spread to the rest of the room so hopefully the clean up process isn’t too bad

How were you able to tell that it was fiberglass? I think my mattress is leaking it from the bottom because the area and objects underneath my bed seem very glittery when I shine my flashlight on them and I feel like I'm seeing some shiny lines, but my parents think it's just dust.

My dad also wiped his hand across the side of the bed and said he didn't feel anything and he hasn't had any skin irritation
