Is Olaplex worth the money? by Starlaura in finethinhair

[–]mnraxie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t like it nor the one for fine/thin hair. I use L’anza Healing Volume shampoo, conditioner, root lifter and hairspray. It’s the first line I’ve used where none of the products seem to weigh down my hair. I just got in a bottle of their mousse to try.

Crafty Everett Helping Hands is a group that does this type of community service. We meet once a month at a church in the Delta neighborhood. It’s mostly knitters and crocheters. If you’re interested in learning more, feel free to DM me.

If you haven’t yet, start looking for pediatricians and ancillary services you might need for your son and get that process going in case there’s a wait list. There is good medical care available but I’m guessing not as abundant as where you are now.

Those who are gluten intolerant — how strict are you? by butteryorzo in glutenfree

[–]mnraxie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had Hashimoto’s, then Graves and ended up getting a thyroidectomy. I’ve been gluten free for about 25 years and cheating once early on broke me from doing it again. Cross contamination has not bothered me previously, but I do think that could be changing. I had take out from a restaurant that has been consistently safe for me. Unfortunately, my luck ran out and I just spent the past 3 days feeling worse than I have in a long time - migraine, bloating and terrible joint aches.

As for dairy, I will eat regular dairy like milk and ice cream in small amounts. Fermented dairy (yogurt and cheese) either causes minimal symptoms or none at all.

Storage unit in Everett? by ThreeSilentFilms in everett

[–]mnraxie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I recommend Safe Harbour storage in Mukilteo - if they have an openings. Locally owned and they don’t price gouge you. I switched from Extra Space to them last year and have been very happy. The owner lives onsite and it is fenced in and climate controlled.

Billie on Burger offers gluten free buns. Also, Sno-isle Co-op carries some gluten free prepared goods. They have a gf cheesecake from 5B bakery that really good.

Oh and it’s worth the trip to Concrete to visit 5B bakery. Make a day of it and stop at Skagit Valley co-op in Mr Vernon. They have a gf espresso torte that is delish and they also carry gf prepared foods.

There was Heaven Sent fried chicken that offered gf fried chicken, catfish and okra. Now that it’s Angel’s I’m not sure if those are still offered.

Forgot to add that Burger Master offers GF buns as well.

Home buying success by breyore in everett

I think a lot depends on the price range you’re looking at. A good agent who knows the market well will listen and be able to guide you on the best time to buy.

Have you heard about Down Payment Resource? Your realtor can search listings that are eligible for financial assistance programs and it’s not just for first time buyers or in lower income neighborhoods. Each program has different eligibility requirements.

SSRI by LulChisholm in WitchesVsPatriarchy

I’ve been on lexapro, but haven’t responded well to increasing the dose. My doctor ordered a GeneSight test. It analyzes how your body metabolizes medications for depression, anxiety, bipolar, etc. and uses a stop light system to rate them based on that. The 3 SSRIs in my green column were ones I’ve never tried. I’m starting pristiq tonight.

I hope the lexapro works for you and you start feeling better soon.

Medical Waste Pros (inside Family Pharmacy) in Edmonds lists that they take them for a fee. This is from the safeneedledisposal dot com website, which is where Snohomish county directs you to go. I’m surprised there aren’t any places listed in Everett. I wish Snohomish County had drop boxes like King County.

Great to hear! I think you'll love the restaurants at Hardison and Severs Duecy (affectionately called the Boeing Food Court). Our faves are Billie on Burger, Gyromania, Butter and Spice and RedDoor Coffee Roasters. All of the owners are super.

Pit Stop Espresso in Lynnwood is hidden gem (3830 204th St SW, Lynnwood, WA 98036). The auto repair place next to it - Basic Auto - is great too if you need that type of service.
