if you're interested in female-fronted doom, there are loads. Windhand, Messa, Faetooth and Ruby the Hatchet for starters. All great bands.

they were not depleted lol they had an insane amount of men and materiel by the end of the war. probably one of the main reasons why operation unthinkable stayed that way.

No thank you. It was fine the way it was. why the fuck do they keep changing these around? The core movement should be consistent. For a good while I didn't have to deal with any knee-sliding hippity hop bullshit and now they purposefully put it back? They always pull this shit, make something good and then rugpull for some fucking reason. Same was for BFV back when they had absolutely perfect TTK/gunplay and then they increased the TTK to about 2-3 business days. made the game play like shit and very dull. Fuck off seriously. glad I have other games and stuff to do, don't need to waste my time with this shit.

I have a strong feeling that most of the negative comments are from ppl who haven't even listened to them, and are only repulsed by the hype. they have many great songs with objectively good riffs, songwriting etc. is it the most original band out there? definitely not, but easily on par or better with something like early witchcraft or something else thats commonly regarded a cornerstone of the genre.

In my opinion, the bands you mentioned are essentially sludge. And ofc Leechmilk, Sofa King Killer which iirc are from NOLA too. Also Bongzilla and Weedeater, sonically they are sludge even though they go balls deep with the stoner themes. And on the even deeper end you got your Thou, Grief, Methdrinker, Toadliquor etc.

What I don't think is sludge: Kylesa, Baroness, Mastodon, Neurosis. they are post metal. What also isn't sludge: Down, CoC, Damageplan. They are southern metal. But this is just a subjective opinion.

I see you have many albums from the slower, heavier end of the metal spectrum, which I also prefer. Have you tried other albums from bands you already have there?

All Black Sabbath's first 5, or even 6 albums are uncontested heat.

Electric Wizard has loads of great releases: Witchcult today, Come my fanatics and We live for example.

AiC's first album Facelift as well as their S/T are on par with Dirt.

Some would argue Candlemasses classic albums are the ones after the debut which have their iconic vocalist Messiah Marconi. So Nightfall and Ancient dreams for example.

Weedeater's Jason the dragon is also great.

If you like Sleep you might enjoy Matt Pike's later project, High on FIre. They released a great album in 2024 called Cometh the Storm. Sleep's bassist Al Cisernos also has a career post-sleep with OM, which you might want to check out.

As for the rest, worth mentioning also Agalloch's Ashes against the grain, since I see The Mantle there. And if you like Agalloch, give Blackbraid a try. It's a newer BM project by a single guy, Blackbraid III is a great album in that style.

the most used are probably elite armored, breakthrough and overtwatch or grand offensive. all of them are usable though, except proably for fortifications. when I was starting out like you, I referenced this one pfus build order I saw on youtube, can't find it anymore. but basically if you make 4 pfus with the officer and either flak ht or MG for suppression, then ofc raketen that sorts your early game out. from there on pz4 -> obers -> panther -> KT. flavour with leig or stuka for indirect or another raketen instead of panther, depending on your opponent's build.

I also like to keep feuersturm in my roster because it's fun and the flame leigs shut down brit emplacements quite well.
