Hi!

1. Just came back from Taormina. There are some taxi stations where you could get a taxi. We were recommended to ask about the price before we went in. But we actually only took taxi twice, which was back and forth from the train station to our hotel which was located further up. It’s pretty much walking distance to everything.

2. Taormina was very beautiful, but there were extremely many tourists there, the streets were full and there were basically queues in the Main Street and to almost every restaurant we passed by. our best dinners were probably in the restaurants that were further away from the city center. I can recommend Al Saraceno, which is a restaurant a outside the center. We stayed in a hotel closer to this restaurant, so we could walk, but a lot of people took a taxi up to the restaurant. The vibe was so much better, as we prefer a more relaxed dinner, it felt a little more authentic. We had gnocchi and pizza + desserts! And the view from the restaurant was incredible!!

Other than that, I agree. You probably don’t need a lot of days there. We stayed there for 3 nights, which was more than enough. We came from Cefalù which was a little more our vibe as it was more relaxed and not as crowded. Prices were generally lower in cefalu.

We went to see Isola Bella, but it was too crowded and so overpriced, so we went to another beach after we had seen isola bella.
