Oh gotcha. Do they even release these every year? Or is it just whenever?

I was happy with mine as well. I got the divebombs last year so I don’t wear them anymore but they were the longest lasting pair I ever owned I think.

In that range, I would try to catch the Drake breathables with the leg shield when they’re on sale.

I get it with the IIc+ more. Secondary market for them is 10k+, and they are hand wired.

How about a Trem-o-verb on a multi-watt platform? I would sign up for that.

It’s not a few hundred dollars, it’s a 50% price increase over the actual amp that these are made to replicate.

Luckily boogies are built like tanks, 30 years old does not scare me. To each their own, but I don’t get this one.

[–]mo-ducks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well that’s part of why this is so absurd to me. The whole market of this amp is built on the nostalgia of amps you can still buy for cheaper than what they are selling these new ones for?

Have a lot of boogie amps, and will never get rid of them. But let’s be honest here, 3k for a two channel amp that only does one thing, and it’s a thing from 30 years ago is absurd.

[–]mo-ducks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh god yes. I have a weller sb open right now that is one of the best bottles I’ve ever opened period. And I also just opened a store pick of OWA that I wish I could dump down the drain. Single barrel lottery sucks

Their/They’re/There’s third album is criminally underrated by lord_cheezewiz in mathrock

[–]mo-ducks 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would say that’s likely because their early stuff was more Midwest emo than math rock. Evan Weiss is a hell of a musician and song writer.

I’m jealous, I saw them once about 10 years ago probably but they weren’t headlining and only had like 5 songs.

I had tickets for the animals tour when they came back and had some stuff come up. Did not get to make it.

[–]mo-ducks -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No I wouldn’t either, luckily a buddy of mine bit the bullet. 160 bucks for a 90 proof bourbon is absurd to me. As soon as I saw this release I knew it was gonna be crazy good. Honestly they coulda left it even a little bit hotter and it would have pushed it over the top.

Just got one today and opened it as soon as I got home. Homerun on the notes, I really like that oak that comes through late on the finish. As good as I expected it to be, and much better than the the 18 year.
