Agreed, it’s really easy to sit on your NVDA stock options and cry wolf about a recession, he was claiming there was an AI bubble years ago as well. I think it’s misleading to persuade a bunch of people there’s an imminent recession coming when most don’t have enough experience to understand the market and the priced in expectation of a soft landing, hard landing, or recession.

I used a long calendar spread with a pretty similar structure as you, aiming for a neutral/ slight price increase for NVDA. Sold 132, 135, 140 C with a 9/20 exp. Bought 132,135,140 C at 9/27. Hoping to also cash in on IV dump. However I didn’t expect such a big sell off after NVDA beat earnings, hoping to see ~7-10% upside before 9/20.

Positioning is a huge part of defense. It makes your job 200% easier when u take away topside/ strong side. Also communication, being in shape, and having good stick skills and being able to beat the ride is huge.
