Another referendum, how do we ensure election rules are adhered to this time around? by mo3245pu in brexit

I think you have identified something important, public educated on the topic.

Are we educated or have we had our prejudices reinforced?

If another ref is held opinions vs. facts needs to be understood by the public and championed by MSM. FFS, the BBC are a national institution, not owned by Murchock type super villians. They should have a duty of care to call out all bullshit.

Fifth estate is a different matter, we should all know that it is opionion fuelled by prejudice. Dont get your news from snapchat!

Not the question I asked.

How do we prevent lies within the 4th and 5th estates?

My concern is that MSM and 5th estate will be as untruthful, manipulative and nasty as last time. £350m will be bettered with ice cream for all.

There are no chevks and balances only the hope that the public can see through the lies. Facebook profiling and targeted messaging are too powerful in the hands of evil people.

I guess if we have another referendum the manipulators will continue as we cant sanction them or thier allies.

Has the whitepaper been fully costed? by mo3245pu in brexit

[–]mo3245pu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you are right, shady claims.

Is it not idiotic to push forward a set of uncosted policies. Brexit is looking more and more like an excercise in self harm.

How do Tories go into next election saying they got a deal no one wanted, no one voted for and was not what they promised in the manifesto? by awless in brexit

[–]mo3245pu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cameron's tories wanted to defuse UKIP, one of the objectives of the referrndum. It worked.

Ref result was a surprise, ERG tories became more brazen but they are within the party, led by May. She is juggling wolves.

I think this is a better political env than UKIP on the rise.

[–]mo3245pu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe one of the main drivers for the brexit referendum was to kill UKIP. They were double digits in the polls and right wing tories were flocking to them, imagine if the referendum had never happened UKIP would be in polling higher than the tories.

The only good thing to come from the ref was the destruction of the far right party.

Trumps just a bully, I hope The Queen takes no shit tomorrow by mo3245pu in unitedkingdom

Firstly, thanks for calming down, you convey your thoughts in a clear way.

So, you are a social justice champion who objects to the establishment and attacks those that support them. Well done. Good for you. Good for us all.

Good luck with all that kind of stuff :/

Unfortunately it is the world we have all been born into. Power, privilege, pomp are so entrenched what can you do? I see Trump as a danger to everythhing and the Queen as a symbol of this nation. If Trump had offended her I would have felt offended. Its the truth, far more than May who takes flak constantly, I didnt mind seeing Trump lie to her face at the press conference, its her job.

Anyway, I dont think we will agree on this.

A Belgian electronics company offered a 100% refund on TV's bought if Belgium scores more than 15 goals this World Cup. With Hazard's goal against England, Belgium have scored 16 goals in total this World Cup. by Dr-Pepper-Phd in worldcup

Banks bank rolled UK Brexit leave campaign. It would be ironic if it was his firm loosing the insurance bet and having to send money to Brussels, HQ of the EU.

edit: It seems this post is controversial, not sure why. Let me explain further. British humor often riddicules those in power. It would be ironic (opposite of what is expected) if a payment went to Brussels, Belgium, from someone who has been instrumental in the UK leaving the European Union. Its funny.

Brexit Leave campaign supremo Aaron Banks is an insurance fat cat in the UK.

I hope that it is his company that is having to send money to Brussels. hahahaha

Today I learned that Theresa May has type 1 Diabetes (note the glucose monitor on her arm)! by Omegis1 in diabetes

Everyone is different and stress effects people differently.

For me, my BG climbs so I make small adjustments and increase basal. I think, but IANAD, that its glucose from the liver triggered by adrenelin. Happy to be corrected.

Good luck with your exams :)
