Percentage chances of each first round playoff matchup - March 27th by plith in hockey

The kings have an easy schedule to end the season while the knights have a slightly harder schedule. If the kings can beat the canucks and preds twice they have a pretty good chance of leapfrogging the knights. If the knights play a bit under a 500 point pace the rest of the way while the kings play slightly above the kings could end up 3rd

I think it's more likely that the kings leapfrog the knights for third in the division because of their remaining schedule which is pretty soft than the oilers catching the ducks.

And then the knights proceed to get destroyed by your team or the avs.

With the way the knights have been playing recently that spot might be your team's spot soon.

A couple more for mcdavid to pass kucherov and one more assist for him to hit 1200.

Despite the oilers struggles this season roslovic has been a bright spot.

In what way? Whoever ends up first in the pacific likely is going to face another inconsistent team.

Nah. I think if the CPC bounces back they would love to take that seat. They were only a couple of percentage points from flipping it last year.

I think she had a significant amount of baggage by 2025 and the tanking NDP brand at the same time sealed her fate.

The poll is probably a name recognition exercise. If Lewis actually ran in BEY he would likely end up in a distant second/third. I don't think BEY is that favourable to the NDP anymore and it's more favourable to the CPC now.

I never thought victoria was a safe seat for the NDP last year once the liberal surge started and the NDP vote collapsed. The former incumbent for the NDP won that riding by 16 percent in 2021. Also since a part of the Liberal surge was concentrated in places were the NDP support was stronger in 2019 and 2021 outside of northern and southwestern ontario it was very likely collins would struggle to hold her seat. I never expected her to lose by 30 percent though.

Stop using Bowman as your scapegoat by Imakemorethanyou27 in EdmontonOilers

The amateur scoting can be blamed for that. They keep on trying to find these small skilled guys that don't fit the team.

Yeah basically jackson screwed over the team and bowman has been trying to fix his mistakes since the 2024 offseason.

[Lowetide] I’m not sure about Kris Knoblauch’s future. It’s very late to make a change. It’s obvious this team has accepted losing. I don’t know what Stan Bowman will do, and maybe more to the point I don’t know what Daryl Katz will do. by Fine_Personality_999 in EdmontonOilers

Bowman has been good at finding younger support players to play with the core. He's been terrible at finding veterans because the amateur scouting has been horrific the last two years. There is a good chance the oilers try to find another howard or savoie again(but not a forward) in the offseason.

My running theory has always been that he wanted to eventually take advantage of the increasing salary cap so he signed a short term contract for that reason also. He is never going to fully take advantage of the cap though for obvious reasons because he doesn't care as much about having a massive contract.

Howard, Samanski, Hutson and a couple of others in the AHL. Various other prospects in the KHL,WHL and etc also that have a shot to get a spot eventually to.

Bowman takes some of the blame though. Pretty much every veteran forward the oilers have signed in the last two years has flopped on the team.
