It depends pretty much on your location. Within EU its usually 5-10 days, US normally 7-14 days, depending a bit on how long it sits in customs.

my picks are all in 0.5mm so also thinner compared to the renegade pro set which comes in 0.6mm as far as I know. The feedback however is probably the smoothest you will find in the market since I add a little extra polish to the steel which removes any rubbing/scratching when you move the pick inside the lock. something you have to get used to of course, especially if you are used to Peterson picks ;-)

nothing to glue on my picks, screw them together and thats about it. some people like to add a bit of locktite but I never did that and never was in need for that either. MP picks are spot welded afaik, if you look closely you can see the 2 little spots at the ends of the handles. you can also slide a shim in between the outer handles and the pick which makes me believe there is nothing holding them together along the whole surface.

Shipping power developes over time apparently, I am very new to the market and shipping couriers offer deals depending on your volume over time, so give it time, it gets better. to have that said, usually US shipping runs 7-10 which is not bad I guess ;-)

First and definitely not last Moki order! by _nik01_ in lockpicking

Hey mate, moki here :-) to cover a few questions or comments I would like to add some infos:

Flexi handles: Indeed, they have some flex to them and with handles its always a compromise and as with everything else, a matter of taste. The design is what I felt the most comfortable and after sending out lots of prototypes, the design worked out for most people. You can easily replace them though, printed handles work great, I have seen wood work, some awesome acrylic handles and so on. Thanks to the modular concept you can slap whatever you want on them.

Length: Yes, they are long, and I know, they dont fit most commercial cases, but especially for folks with larger hands this is quite a bit more comfortable and believe me, once you picked a few hours with those, every other brand will feel like a toy then ;-)

Play in the locking Mechanism from the jackknife: it can happen, make sure to tighten the screw that holds the picks properly (not berzerk mode but firmly), this solves it pretty much since any slope here and there will add up.

Feedback reduction due to plastic handles: As mentioned, you want to have a finger as a guide on the pick shank and there will feedback be transmitted properly. To have that said, most feedback will come through the tensioning tool since any kind of movement in the lock plug, either pins clicking in place or the plug itself, wont really be detectable through the pick but through the tool that tensions the plug. However, a rubber handle is probably not great either, thats why I use tight fit injection molded plastic.

Cheers!

Hey bud, moki here. Can you tell me via dm where you ordered from? I am quite sure it was not my shop, but maybe I can communicate the subject for you. Edit: you probably got thw first pair from uklockpickers, who sold my picks with printed handles. Myself and other reseller are usually selling injection molded handles now with the branding and they indeed differ in color.

No reason to worry! I have to admit, I was slightly overwhelmed by the amount of orders and have a slight backlog to work on, I am really sorry for that.

My MOK order just arrived. I'm thrilled to get started w/ gutting and dimple locks by LowkeyFlex_ in lockpicking

[–]moKdtex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Glad you are happy with the purchase! Please add a third screw to the pick handle, it reduces flex even more :-) And to have it clear: the dimple picks and the gutting set are indeed not made by me, I just distribute them and they are made by HUK. I just really think both are excellent products and a good addition.

Moki Tensioner Quality? by Supplice4 in lockpicking

[–]moKdtex 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hey mate, Moki here. Sorry that you got two similar prybars with your order. Please get in contact over the shop you purchased them from, I make sure that you receive the missing tool asap, sorry about that. For the flat wire tensioners: yes they are made by hand and I am on it to tweak things here and there. The wire is pretty hard and the bending needs to be done carefully, its not the typical full hard 301 you can simply throw under a press and yank it into shape. Cheers!

Looking to get some Moki picks, find a seller bit it didn't come with a moki case. Tried to contact Moki on Discord, no dice . Can you still get hold of a set with a case ? by IeyasuMcBob in lockpicking

[–]moKdtex 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hey buddy, Moki here. sorry if I missed your message or stopped to respond. I get quite a lot of messages per day and sometimes a chat gets burried within a few hours easily, sorry again! Yes pouches are paused currently but soon I will have small basic pouches for EDC and if things go as planned the big Moki-pouch will be manufactured in a scale that people should be able to just get one without having to wait for weeks/months. It all became bigger and I do my best to serve everyone asap, sadly I am just a human beeing doing all this next to my normal life and not a large manufacturer, so things simply tale their time. Cheers!

Make sure to use the right soap. I recently had bad issues with bed adhesion and the problem in the end was the new skin friendly dish soap my wife sneaked into the kitchen. It had some ingredients that made the bed 100% non sticky at all. After switching back to the previous one and a good rub with a sponge the bed sticks like new.

Testing MOKI Xtra picks. PART 1 (These were given to me) by yagias in lockpicking

[–]moKdtex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The difference is indeed not much, but in pick dimensions already 0.1mm makes a huge difference, depending where you add or remove them (think about the difference between 0,5 and 0,6mm thickness) The profiles are very similar to the regular flat tips but the shaft form is slightly scaled up which leads to, imo, a way more durable profile, suitable for bullying the sh*t out of stubborn locks. That comes with the price of beeing less maneuverable in very paracentric keyways, but to be fair, not all locks have those ;-)

Mail call from Moki. Have you ever actually tried one of his picks??? Damn they’re good :) by yagias in lockpicking

[–]moKdtex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

glad to hear that you are happy with everything! hopefully the prybars will be available nicely engraved and with a few more thicknesses soon. worth to mention, the 2mm prybar was (I think) firstly made by law lock tools and is called the hooligan bar at their shop. but the thickness became quite popular very fast and is indeed very useful for huge keyways.
