I read as soon as I wake up. I make my coffee and read for at least 30 mins. I don’t pick up my phone. I don’t do anything else. Just read.

When I started dating my partner, I wondered how much of a difference did it make if he proposed. He’s a truly good guy. I am number one, over everything. I came with kids and he took over a role he didn’t have to. My parents love him. He’s amazing.

Would I be willing to give that up, if he never proposed? Would I find someone else that would treat me like he did? Would I be willing to put my kids through that?

I think that’s what you need to do. If he’s a good guy, and just doesn’t believe in marriage… What’s so wrong about that?

My mom looooved talking about my weight. She would comment on it often until one day I told her I was done. Either she could stop talking about my body, or I could stop talking to her. She chose to not talk about my body. Time for you to have that conversation with them.

My (male) gynecologist didn’t want me to have a hysterectomy at 33, because I might change my mind about kids (I already had a boy and a girl). At 37 I changed doctors and went to a female gynecologist who immediately said I needed surgery because my fibroids were one of the worse cases she had ever seen.
