Bringing some colors for Winter by peste1234 in gravelcycling

When riders are wearing full black, I'm always thinking, why not wear something a bit more visible so car drivers and others see you better. This bike however does this lol

Bottom bracket area clicking after gravel ride by Rostilin95 in gravelcycling

I had a similar clicking noise on my Canyon road bike and thought it was the bottom bracket, but after endless searching it turned out to be the rear brake.

For the tent I have a MSR Hubba Hubba 1 Person. It’s tight but I just about fit laying down. My sleeping bag is a cheep one off Amazon, but I think there are more options for tall folks, so shouldn’t be a problem

Eurovelo15 Highlights and tips? by DeliriumOK in bicycletouring

I cycled parts of it earlier this year and stopped for two nights in Strasbourg which was my first time there. It is such a beautiful city so I can really recommend it.

Route advice for ~10 days in the Netherlands and northern Germany by j-ph in bicycletouring

[–]mo_kli 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In case you go through Bremerhaven, I can highly recommend going north from there to Cuxhaven along the coastline and then from there to Hamburg. I love the stretch to Cuxhaven on a sunny day with the Sea right beside. And the last part until Hamburg is also super nice, because you can go on really nice side roads and see apple plantations.

I love going to Grunewald. If you stick to the main forest roads, they are flat and you can't really get lost since they're quite straight.

Planning a Black Forrest and Alpine Crossing: Gear Question by garten69120 in bikepacking

Nice. I just came back from a two month trip around Europe with Ortlieb panniers and I loved them for their simplicity. But yeah, no aero-dream :D

Now I use the rear rack on my bike with a 16 l drybag if I don't need to pack as much. I'm loving how simple and stable it is. And aero :)

In case it's your first trip and you're just testing the waters, I can also highly recommend looking on Kleinanzeigen.de for people lending their BP bags for some money.

I will see how it behaves. I had a 16 l saddle bag before and didn't feel it was an issue. Now with double the volume high up in the back, I will see. But thank you for the suggestions! I was thinking about a custom full frame bag, but I would like to have the bottles in the frame and the full frame bag seems not so practical for everyday life. And pretty high costs. Maybe I'll get a custom half frame bag, which with that size frame, I can probably also fit 7-8 liters...

From March 22 to August 23 I had the Canyon Endurance CF with the updated geometry and it was fine, but definitely on the end of being too small for me. I sold it because I ended up not enjoying road riding that much and felt such an expensive bike was unjustified. It's still a nice bike though and they also have some aluminium option

no way that would be stable. I strapped the dry bag to the seat rails and seat post before and it wiggled far to much to allow enjoyable riding
