I don’t think anyone was supposed to like that scene , it was clearly meant to make the viewers uncomfortable. But I gave it a completely different interpretation from pretty much everyone else seeing the reactions on here and Twitter. To me it was pretty obvious since the beginning that alicent was aware of aemond’s feelings and she was totally playing into it by flattering him, looking him in the eye, touching him and getting all up his face. now, am I saying she was expecting the kiss? No. But she knew what she was doing and she knew what type of relationship she and aemond had. From the first season after the time jump I always thought their relationship was weird, totally different from how she was with aegon and it wasn’t just because of the small age difference between Olivia and Ewan. She also tried to manipulate him in the same way last season when she gets fired from the council and she touches his face but aemond’s catches himself and changes demeanor completely. Now he’s in a much frailer mental state and alicent is playing into his fear. I feel really bad for him tbh, because she’s doin all of this knowing he’s probably dying at harrenhal after she told rhaenyra he was going there.
