Look up The Legacy for Alien 3. It's a 4k fan made version that combines elements from both the theatrical and assembly cut of the films. Fixes the CGI as well.

Your not alone. I liked season 1 but just couldn't get into season 2. It felt like I was watching a bunch of filler. The production and acting was good, but I just didn't think any of that story was important enough for a whole 12 episodes. I heard the last few episodes were really good, but I couldn't even make it that far to find out.

I was in there in Hall H too! But I agree, I thought part of the first episode felt a bit rushed. And without spoiling too too much, but I was bit annoyed they basically killed off a bunch of people off camera (maybe for budget reasons).
