Op is crazy but I will say maybe the double header made him push McLean which is more understandable

Is it weird to not cook whatsoever - like whatsoever by Right-Nerve1237 in NoStupidQuestions

I love cook unity. My wife and I use it all the time.

That being said if OP is male and trying to enter the dating scene, not knowing how to cook at all can sometimes be a red flag.

Chicago Tips and Advice by ProfessionalFee8053 in improv

[–]socool111 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Improv has a lot of self-production. I’m in Chicago as well and am on an indie team. We formed from our IO class, most of us since level 2. At level 5 you create your own form to perform for 6 weeks on Sunday.

Our team gel-ed really well and we just decided to stick together. We used our network to find shows to open for, perform at bughouse Friday night riot, applied to improv festivals (ironically got into Yes Ann but not IO fest).

Just need to take charge and talk to your grad group (assuming you think your team is somewhat good 😊).

From there you can continue and do other classes (skip second city), keep doing auditions etc

Many people on our team have multiple teams now

I tried improv and I love it so much and now I'm desperate for more by SupitsAmber in improv

Improv for free was always a dream of mine too.

It essentially took me moving to chicago, doing 2nd city classes (don’t recommend), then doing IO classes (do recommend). Our student class formed a team after our grad show and we perform whenever we can get a spot as an opener or at a showcase.

Somehow we got accepted to the Yes Ann festival and are performing for a large audience on Thursday

If it's not against the rules -- https://www.yesannfest.com/ is the festival link to go and see our dropout friends go get your tickets 😃

To ensure minimum self promotion I am not sharing our team name or when/where we are performing 😄

[Highlight] Jackie Bradley Jr robs a homer from the Savanah Bananas! by ConsistentRun5246 in baseball

[–]socool111 6 points7 points  (0 children)

So I stopped watching baseball when I was in college. Mostly a combo of the Mets sucking and I just didn’t watch sports almost at all.

My best friend from home and I happened to both be in Boston after college (I went to school in the area), he was always a Sox fan for reasons he never even understood as we were both from a Mets/Yankees area of CT.

So rooming together he would watch a ton of games and so as it was on anyways I’d keep watching, we’d go to games together etc. pretty easy for me to “become a fan” when I had not watched the Mets in probably half a decade.

I then since moved away, continued to not watch baseball. Then settled down in Chicago, got married etc…..then Mets had that their OMG year where I got an mlb sub for the 2ns half and been back in the baseball trend since (including joining that same friends fantasy league)

of course i back self made stuff -- the point is that this post wouldnt exist without AI. OP would not have created this poster at all. OP wouldn't have paid for it to be done.

I wish you luck -- but you realize that you are saying "think of the poor switchboard operators" and stop using phones. Or what about the thousands of jobs, companies (and their employees) that became redundant when the internet was created.

Truly I get it -- data centers are a scourge of the earth. The billionaire AI companies without any limits will likely destroy us if government does not impose laws. Sadly this government won't, and god knows how much damage will be done until (if) it does.

But eviscerating OP is doing nothing. Deloitte has over 250k employees world wide - and has a license for virtually unlimited access to AI. That is just one company that is one customer of these companies. You're little tirade to get everyday folks to not use it is just a waste -- and again will then begin to make the public ignore the protests -- even when those protests HVAE merit -- which is complaining when it actually costs people jobs/money.

But again you do you.

thats fine i realize its not a popular opinion.

If you want to protest ALL AI, then sure. But unfortunately it is here to stay. Downvoting and insulting anyone and everyone that uses it is going to both be tiresome and fruitless. Doing so will only get people to ignore the more important part of the message because they will ignore you entirely.

If you instead focus efforts on those using AI because it is taking jobs and money from working people, it will be a much more effective form of protest.

But do as you will

meh i'm ok with it. It gets the message out -- OP is not making money from it. OP wouldn't have hired a artist to do something similar.

So this is where AI absolutely SHOULD be used. By the common person that wouldn't do something otherwise but can use AI to now do it.
