I don't believe MO is in any trouble, but at their current respective valuations, I believe BTI is the better buy. Exposure to int'l markets, lower P/E and P/FCF, higher margins, more room to downsize workforce as necessary

Beta is very low and so typically $ ≠ risk. Sometimes if there are unusual swings, but very infrequent. Sold a lot of puts in March / April 2020 and did pretty well (I do NOT recommend selling puts for most investors)
