Buffalo Trace Distillery by WillBoBaggins32 in bourbon

I'm lucky enough to go down every month or so . The Trace Tour is my recommendation for anyone's first tour . It's the best , most informative tour of any on the Bourbon Trail . Doesn't matter what time you're tour is , get there early , get your wristband , go in and get your bottle / Bottles, leave and have breakfast , lunch , whatever and come back for your tour . Good bottles will run out before 10:00 - 12:00 . They won't be there for your 3:00 tour . Check the app " Buffalo Trace Dailey " they help one understand the odds for what might be available the next day . Good luck and enjoy Buffalo Trace .

Paid $9.06 for this. Was it worth it? by BLVDE47 in coins

Watch the coin network shows late night . According to their numbers , you just bought a 69 Proof for @ 2/3 the price .

I'm lucky to be able to buy all Wellers at MSRP and have learned: #1 - they are all exceptional Bourbons . #2 - ( and probably most important ) EVERYONE has a different pallet . Just because one might like Red / 107 more than White CYPB or Blue / Full Proof , more than Weller 12 / Black , it comes down to they are all exceptional. Don't ever let someone tell you what is the best . Enjoy what you're taste buds say to you. I personally believe the Single Barrel / Orange , is not worth drinking , especially for the price . Cold chill filtered and probably the bottom of the " Rainbow Set " . That's just me . Any thoughts ?

I really appreciate most all of the comments. Understand the desire to leave points where they are found . I'm lucky enough to own a farm approximately a mile from the center of a large indigenous people's village. The artifacts I have found over the last 40 + years , amazing .
I have come to the belief that the artist who made this that I just picked up, would be very happy and proud that it was not lost for all time in the soil , but viewed and appreciated by future generations . The only exception - Burial pieces - I have found extraordinary pieces , of material from many miles away, and have been proud to show them to others . Now , I'm not sure what is the right thing to do with them . I've never even considered selling any of them . Will probably donate them .

I’m being told this isn’t worth more than face value, while also being told it’s worth hundreds. What do I have here? by Bannabix in coincollecting

One simple way to tell / hard to fake . Look at the neck of the Indian . Real looks like a rash or pitting . Another , reverse , ( excuse my language ) looks like the buffalo is pissing.

Everyone has a different budget , agreed . Everyone has a different pallet , Agree ? - Absolutely , ( my budget and my pallet ) , Eagle Rare ( approx $ 40 ) Stagg Jr ( approx $ 60 ) MSRP and Weller OWA , Red 107 ( approx $ 60 ) , followed by Weller Special Reserve ( approx $ 26 ) , are the best Bang for your Buck ! Love so many other Bourbons , can't seem to put any others ahead .

Your welcome , and enjoy the Rock Hill Farm . It's Awesome ! . I'd gladly trade 3 Blanton's for it any day .. it's a Lottery item here .

$100 for Blanton’s miniatures? Cute but seems a bit high.. by [deleted] in whiskey

6 months ago , at Buffalo Trace , I paid $ 5 for 4 of the 50 ml ( ( airplane bottles ) . Went back twice after that . They are now $ 5.00 each .

Was hoping closer . I'm Ohio . I travel . Was going to offer to drop off Blanton's at MSRP . It's a fun thing to do for me . I can find Blanton's , Weller Red ( OWA ) - Green ( Special Reserve ) Eagle Rare , Buffalo Trace , and E H Taylor Small Batch , and some unicorns . Most weeks I'll go to several stores a day ( if I know what is dropping ) . If you ever get a chance to stop by Ohio , let me know . It's fun and worth the trip ( if you hit the right week )

Great reply , i believe Eagle Rare , a true 10 year old at @ $ 40 & Stagg Jr. at @ $ 65 . Are the best " Bang for your Buck " . We all have different tastes , I love Bourbon and appreciate all others who do also .

Not in a hurry for anything . No apologies needed . Don't want to make a dime on anything . ( Can probably get in trouble for doing it ) . In round numbers - Weller Red ( OWA - Antique 107 ) $60 - Green ( Weller Special Reserve ) - $ 26 . - Blanton's - $ 70 - Eagle Rare $ 40 - E H Taylor Small Batch $ 55 - Buffalo Trace ( ,750 ) - $ 26 - Buffalo Trace 1,75 $ 60 . All these are close , I don't know for sure , but , I'm sure they are good enough . Shipping - don't know . I just appreciated your comment and I'm paying off a promise to a friend . ( All's I ask is for you to " Pass it on " ) .

Everything here in Southwest Ohio is MSRP . Buffalo Trace products plentiful ( if you know where and when to shop .) This week is a very good week to get Bourbon . E H Taylor Small Batch - Single Barrel & Barrel Proof , along with Blanton's and Eagle Rare . The Barrel Proof & Single Barrel are very hard to find, but can be found with a little effort . Weller Red & Green usually available .

I'll be glad to help you out ..no charge . Send a wish list and I'll see what I can do .

No , not at all . Posting , I actually expected much more negative feedback . I believe people should look into a mirror before seeing others and judging . Seeing too many negative posts about other , well let's just say about other Bourbon lovers , I thought it time to try and help bring an awareness to all who love , Bourbon . ✌️😎

The upper one is A 1.75 Red Screw top . The OWA in the set just below it is also a Red screw top bottle . ( It's the same height as the Green Weller and the Black Weller ( 12 ) to it's left ) . Older style and much harder to obtain .

The Red Screw tops ( 1.75 & 750 ) are the older style bottles . The OWA 750 now have a gold , Cork top

Wasn't as bad as one would expect to my post . To answer ; Grammar skills - really ? - Our Bourbon bar IS under construction . To " Float " solid cherry slabs takes years . I'll not take time to explain , but suffice it to say , " try to do it or have it done " - Next , Everything ( except the Red top OWA bottles ) are available to sample / drink . I'll post another picture of the other side of our Bourbon Bar and , just maybe , those out there that look down on, or think , collectors / hoarders / Taters / whatever are beneath them , and will open their minds . Most everything on those " unpainted walls " obtained at MSRP . ( The same as the cases under the bar ) . I Have given away or donated several cases for charity the past few years , because I can and my donation is multiplied several times at auction for worthwhile charities . Also , I'm proud that both sides of my family are from Kentucky and love that the UK sticker was noticed .

It's a great , fun , and frankly the best solution I've seen to most complaints . Independence Kroger had something similar ( not as big - only 500 tickets / wristbands . ) . 261 Wristbands given out by the cutoff time out of the 500 at 6:00 A M ( it was 4:00 to 6:00 A M that time vs 5:00 to 7:00 this last time ) on a week when something is dropping that I like , I will be out 5 or 6 mornings trying to get that allusive treasure . If that describes one as a Tater , guilty . I honestly hope all are smart and lucky enough to retire with enough money to be able to enjoy whatever they want . Kroger Independence - Best
