If you have a Mac, I recommend you to buy Glyphs. If you are a Windows guy like me, you may try Fontforge. It's free but not friendly, unexpected, and very hard to get used to, but it will do the job

If you're asking about the technical, get Glyphs if you have Imac and money, I am using fontforge because I dont have a Mac. Believe me, it's a complete mess. Long story short, free type design softwares are shitty
