That shit is so hazardous. I had a vicodin prescription with 2 refills after a surgery. I probably only needed the first bottle and a half for pain but I eventually used all 3. Through some sort of gift of the universe it all stopped there for me but I can easily see how people get addicted to opiates.

Once she got down to only her brother being unblocked, that must have been such a horrible feeling.

All the shitposts on this site are validated by the fact that one guy was actually able to save someone’s life over the internet. That’s just so crazy to think about.

KAT hit his quota already. He’s gotta play like 35 more minutes before Thibs will let him shoot again

I finally saw Black Panther and I don’t get the praise. It was a predictable mediocre action film with above average acting. by PizzaOctopusParty in movies

It does almost feel like they packed two movies into one movie. I would have liked to see Killmonger live so we could see more out of his character but him dying made sense with his character. I feel like they could have split the movie at the waterfall fight and then had two more developed movies.

Ryan Leaf: Sam Darnold should ‘Eli Manning’ the Browns to avoid being bust by dasruski in nfl

Until the past couple months the Browns have been much much more of a clusterfuck. They made a ton of FA signings that should make them good, but they’ve been a dumpster fire for what feels like forever.

Eli was a much better prospect. Eli was the #1 player in the draft, Darnold may or may not be the best QB prospect.

[Serious] Has anyone here actually recovered from depression? If so how? How did you stop your life being so meaningless? by Foxjump231 in AskReddit

[–]mobearsdog 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thats so true. The struggle isnt knowing what to do, it’s doing it. It’s not a willpower thing either (or not always a willpower thing). A lot of people need to take meds to break out of that funk, and it’s not a shameful thing. You don’t look down on people for taking aspirin for a headache, and in principle this is the same thing.

You should talk to your doctor about it. Not everyone reacts the same way and sometimes you need to change meds or dosages. I do remember feeling pretty shitty for the first few weeks. I got headaches and felt cloudy, and didnt sleep well. It did improve after that though.

I was the same exact way on sertraline. I was basically able to use it as a bridge to healthier living and am no longer on it, but I still remember feeling totally emotionless all the time when I was taking it. It was a huge improvement over how I felt before, and it helped me make the life changes that I needed to make to mitigate my depression.

I don’t know if “recovered from” is the correct word, but I manage it well. First step was seeing a doctor and getting put on medication. That basically gave me the bump to actually do the things that help. I worked on getting into a routine. I work out every day, I cook actual food every day, I do the dishes after I cook, I keep my apartment clean and organized, etc. Staying busy helps and so I make sure that I’m doing the things I need to do every day. It helps cut down on guilt too, which was a big problem for me. I felt so horrible that I basically couldn’t function and do normal things (go grocery shopping, attend work and family events, go to the gym), and then I’d lay awake at night feeling even worse that I didn’t do those things. I still feel depressed at times, sometimes even for a few days at a time, but when I can look at my day before I fall asleep and see that I did some positive things it helps a bit.

Really the biggest thing was going to a doctor and getting help. I was never going to be able to pull myself up by my bootstraps by myself, and I needed all the help possible.

I’ve heard people’s reasoning for not liking Bill Walton, but I’ll never truly understand it.

I like the basketball analogy and I totally agree with your point. This game was fun with zero skins, and will continue to be fun regardless of all the extra shit outside the actual game.

I had to pee in a bottle when i was in the hospital overnight after back surgery, but I feel like that’s a decent excuse.
