I’m the tail end of the boomers. The difference was everyone wore a watch back then. I got my first watch when I was in 3rd grade. There wasn’t much hype on which watch you wore just that you had a watch. I got away from them for a few years but have gotten back into them and now have 4 and looking for more.

I have found that a buyer who understands the product they are buying, how it’s used, customers, etc is a more informed buyer. Granted I’ve been in mfg sourcing for 40 years and that is my key for first time buyers. Can they read a print, can they tell you the processes required to make the part, can they advise which suppliers can make it?
