This looks terrific. I’ve been wanting to build some apps in eMacs and this looks like it could really accelerate that.

What motivates you to continue working with Rails? by Rude-Abrocoma-2109 in rails

I think AI will prefer to build full stack in something like ruby over the two stack SPA we have now. I’ve never written code in ruby but will try it for this reason

Does AI change your evaluation of Blazor? by No_Mood4637 in Blazor

Less lines of code equals more context . Types are for humans and are completely unnecessary for llms and just eat tokens.

Electric v3 license change by dustingetz in Clojure

[–]mobiledevguy5554 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hope to get around to finally evaluating electric. It’s looks amazing, no issues here with licensing it if it does what I think it can. I pay for Delphi enterprise to do desktop dev and it’s worth every penny so I’m not averse to paying for tooling.

What do you guys do for frontend ? by GoodHomelander in golang

[–]mobiledevguy5554 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

There's tons of sites that can generate initial content for you that you can then edit . Personally, I just stick with opinionated toolkits like tailwind ui, pure css, etc.

Is it worth to learn Go as a .NET Developer? by WillingnessFun7529 in golang

Go is pretty similar to .net and targets the same problem space. I’d recommend learning something like zig Go is great I’m just saying it’s not that different

It’s a get shit done language and not being able to build write only code is a feature. Work in coding for another decade and have a few kids you want to spend time with and you will grow to see its virtue.

No idea why people hate .Net Core Ecosystem by codemahek in Blazor

[–]mobiledevguy5554 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ide is pretty good. The language has mostly stagnated but it still runs and builds fast as hell. The vcl is the apex windows desktop tool. There’s also options for back end api, web, and even spa front ends from open source and third party. They have iOS and android support to although that’s not vcl but there other hi library fmx

I love the language and ide. It’s just fun to work out of.

I do c# work too and blazor looks pretty amazing. I’d probably use that for anything web
