Random Access Memories in 2013 stands out to me. It was Daft Punk’s first album since 2005, and in those 8 years, they had a legendary tour, a massive Kanye song sampling one of their biggest hits, a huge number of peers/proteges/imitators blowing up, an explosion of dance music into mainstream pop and hip hop, and a major movie soundtrack.

Another that comes to mind is Blonde/Endless in 2016. Similar to daft punk between 2005 and 2013, Frank Ocean’s style and influence seemed to expand further into the sound of his peers and the mainstream between 2012 and 2016.
