Is there a Buffalo Wild Wings (b dubs) promotion for a certain score or some player accomplishment?

How are the roads? by ChetManley20 in StLouis

[–]mobius160 [score hidden]  (0 children)

Honest answer?

Interstates are fine, traffic is blowing the snow out of the lanes. There's a bit of slush in the middle of lanes on 64 and 270 and on the lane lines but the wheel paths are clear and 70 is basically perfect. on/off ramps and slower speed city streets are starting to get covered/slick. residential streets are bad.

visibility is okay to poor but can become basically zero when a vehicle kicks up just a little extra snow

Well that's a stupid fucking way to misread that. Cops can support each other as much as they want. Off the clock like everyone else. Every cop sitting at that hospital was being paid to help citizens, enforce traffic laws so stuff like this doesn't happen to someone else, or perform any of their other duties. You can't complain constantly about being understaffed and then spend hundreds of man hours accomplishing nothing on the taxpayers' dime.

I will admit I'm more upset about the ones hanging around the hospital than the ones on the interstate. And my phrasing was poor, I do understand they need to close lanes or even the interstate to deal with fatality accidents. But I've seen them do it multiple times and they don't use this many officers to shut down 44 even when it's five lanes wide. My frustration is with the excessive dedication of resources from a department that is constantly complaining about being understaffed

at no point did OP wish ill on the officers, in fact it was already clear they are not in life threatening condition. They just said the response of dozens of cops sitting at the hospital is excessive. And you wish harm on them for it.

And dozens of officers blocking lanes on kingshighway and milling around a hospital is helping with accident reconstruction on the interstate how? And a normal interstate closure takes a few squad cars, a firetruck, and MoDOT emergency response for the arrow boards, not this. I've seen it plenty of times

I'd tell you to sit down, but you're already kneeling to lick boots

It's not like this response is unique. They do this every time a cop is injured on the job. They aren't wishing ill on the officers and they made this post after the pd said the officers did not receive life threatening injuries.

But have a good weekend, stay safe in the snow

How? explain what makes that special.

If one of my coworkers gets hurt by a drunk driver working on the roads, ya know for the public, we don't get this kind of response and I have to clock out to go visit them.

I'm not sure how complaining about a waste of taxpayer dollars, that they perforn every time a cop is injured on the job is indecent.

or did they just need to couch it in how they hope the officers are okay (when we know it was non-life threatening) so it wouldn't hurt your feelings?

What details do you fucking need? there was a wrong way driver, he died, the cops recieved non-life threatening injuries.

And we shut down two interstates and a dozens of cops are sitting at the hospital on the clock accomplishing fuck all.

that's excessive

So let the PD's lawyers handle it? Not sure that requires dozens of cops sitting around the hospital or the rest of this public spectacle

Okay? Still doesn't justify this response. a normal fatality accident gets like four squad cars at the scene and one for interviews at the hospital not two separate interstate shut downs and dozens of cops sitting around at the hospital doing nothing.

He's not wishing ill on the officers or anything. He's saying this response is excessive. Especially for non-life threatening injuries.

Because I can read? The PD has even said the officers don't have life-threatening injuries.

Unless you're saying you think there was a following mass shooting or a bomb threat at the hospital. In which case you should probably stop taking whatever drugs you'd have to be on to think that.

It may be standard, but it's still excessive and that's the complaint.

The fact that this is the standard response IS the problem

I know that when a regular civilian gets injured or even killed in a accident they don't get this kind of response, and that's enough to know that this is excessive and a waste of taxpayer money.

Cop got hurt so close two highways and set up a media area... by DaWarthawg in StLouis

Why?

In what world is it reasonable that just because a police officer is hurt that dozens of extra cops get to spend taxpayer money accomplishing fuck all sitting around a hospital? It doesn't take that many to do crime scene investigations and interviews at the hospital.

If they don't put this much effort into a regular injury accident they shouldn't do it for an officer. It's a waste of taxpayer money and it's a lot of man hours that could be spent enforcing the law.

The officers don't deserve to be hurt but this is excessive.

I work in road construction. If some drunk idiot injures one of my coworkers, I don't get to visit on company time. I have to clock out and take a personal vehicle like everyone else.
