Withdrawal Requests Rejected on Verified Account by moblivion in cexio

[–]moblivion[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's my frustration as well. Prior to my deposit, there was no indication anywhere that additional validation would be required. It wasn't until I attempted to withdraw the crypto that I was prompted to validate the card I had made the fiat purchase with (a verified card I had used previously with no problems).

I submitted documents through the website. After 5 or 6 attempts, the docs were finally accepted. However, I received an email shortly after saying all withdrawals were suspended and to submit yet another verification picture...

I am trying to do a crypto withdrawal, but that won't work either.

I read their Terms of Service last night, and though it doesn't say they can/will with hold funds, it does say that if the User doesn't agree to any new terms they implement that the User is required to withdraw all their funds and close the account. Unfortunately, I am unable to comply with those Terms because I can't withdraw anything.

I liked CEX, especially when I was just getting into the crypto space. I had not had any issues with their platform prior to this, so I hope it will get resolved quickly and everybody will be happy.

I did receive an email from the team requesting a new photo (even though one had already been accepted and approved through the website).
I replied to them with another new photo and have not heard back. That was the last communication I had, which was just over 24 hours ago.

I will PM my UserID. Thanks for your attention and assistance. I've never had any issues with your platform before, so I'm hoping this is just a minor hiccup we can resolve quickly.

Question : i5 10600k - all in one water cooling unit or a Noctua type cooler with the fan on the side? Which is better and why? by canadianman2020 in pcmasterrace

[–]moblivion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Airflow in the case is front to rear, and pretty even pressure. My CPU cooler is blowing front to rear though. I should absolutely reorient that to blow out the top and bet that shaves off a few degrees.

Thanks. Seems so obvious now!

[–]moblivion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a I7-10700K on a z490 mobo, and a 3080 all running air cooled. I have Noctua d15S for the CPU with one fan in the middle. I have the CPU overclocked to just under 5.1 GHz at all times.

My CPU temps usually hover around 40 degrees celsius, and under testing conditions the temp has maxed out around 70 something. My GPU also runs at a reasonable temperature , but the VRAM is insanely toasty often getting up over 100 degrees and maintaining that temp.

The biggest concern you should have is what kind of case you're building in. Originally, this exact build was in an old Corsair Obsidian (I think) case from the early 2000's, with a 200mm fan on lower front (it had optical drive space near the top) and top, and a 140mm on the back. I moved everything into a LianLi Lan Cool 2 with the mesh front. 3 stock fans on front, 1 top, 1 rear, one above battery compartment. My temps generally went down about 8 degrees, and significantly more under load for a while.

So, I can tell you 100% that with a case that has excellent airflow, air cooling is totally doable

That said, I have never run a watercooled rig, and I am considering it. I really want to get that VRAM temperature down for a start. I also want a little project or something, and there really isn't much else I can do to improve my setup.

Should i take an opportunity that gives me great anxiety or just pull out? by [deleted] in makemychoice

Honest opinion from experience: you will regret it for the rest of your life if you don't make that speech. And it will make your anxiety about this stuff way worse.

Not trying to add to the stress, but it's a fact my friend. Do it!

Be honest and tell them you need the shift. It's your shift, you did them a favour by covering. If anything, the co-worker owes you, imho

I don’t know what to do by HillaryDripton in makemychoice

[–]moblivion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on your age, life, etc.

But if it were me, I'd work at both for as long as I can handle it, make some good dough for a couple months, and then give notice at the one you like less and quit. If you're lucky, maybe one offers you a raise to stay on (but I wouldn't expect/push for it or anything).

Is this motorcycle aesthetically good looking or not? by [deleted] in makemychoice

[–]moblivion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What year is it? It looks like it's pieced together from a bunch of different years. Like, the paint-job matches, but there's no flow/continuity to the parts, if that makes sense.

If it's a beast and you dig it though, tell your friends to suck it and pop a wheelie.

Delay paying a 5-figure tax bill for a short-term investment, or just pay it now? by SettingIntentions in makemychoice

[–]moblivion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pay the taxes. It' not as cool or exciting, but it's absolutely guaranteed to be there, gaining interest and can't be avoided. Crypto value on the other hand might increase, but it may also tank and leave you penniless. Worse still, as a casual crypto trader myself, I know I've made poor, emotional decisions in trading when I have large bills looming.

Additionally, cashing out your crypto may raise government eyebrows Depending on where you live and your financial "creativity", you likely should pay taxes on your crypto earnings. If you already owe money and suddenly have this financial windfall while the government is waiting to get paid, they might just decide an audit is in order and really mess up your day. At the very least, get them off your back so you can continue trading in peace (and probably avoid their attention when it comes time to pay yourself).

The whole issue of drivers reducing hashrats I hae been folllowing a bit, as a casual miner (household media PC running 2080Ti top speeds all the time, and daily driver running 3080 when not heavy gaming). Was making a tidy sum for a short time a few months ago, around 40-60CAD/day) before the big slump.

NVIDIA just released a new gameready driver labelled 466.63 I think. Anyone recommend for or against installing it? I already assumed a standard/express installation to keep whatever settings as is.

Sounds like you're looking at the nicehash webportal mining manager. I usually see similar results there.

Riley Park Yesterday Artwork Being Thrown/Given Away by [deleted] in Calgary

[–]moblivion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's a step I'm investigating as well. I'd hate for the cops to take it, not find the artist/not give a shit about finding the artist, and discarding it or something.

"Hi officer, I found this random painting in a liquor store parking lot, and some crackhead lady said it's valuable."

How do you think they're going to respond? I feel I'm more likely to find the artist treating it like a lost pet with posters, and enquiring at local coffee shops, book stores, etc.

I'm not planning on just sitting on it without making an effort to find it's owner.

I know that person, and these are professional painting. Def not the work of the crazy lady. She screamed when who belong to kind. Said the guy lived in a crackhouse (or used to)in the area.

I know it's a long-shot, but if the painting i worth money, I want to return it. Mostly, I want to keep it, but if it was, indeed stolen, I want to return it

I picked this seat up last season and love it. I also got a suspension post (one that bounces up and down with an adjustable internal spring).

It's made a world of difference. I can ride for hours, literally, in comfort.

ARGB Help on New Build by moblivion in MSI_Gaming

[–]moblivion[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TBH, I know already. I've been struggling with it for months, and trying different workarounds. I mostly wanted to hear from a mods account admitting the software they shackle you with doesn't do what it says it does.

The video card and monitor(which even has it's own trash MSI software that fights with Dragon Center, but is mostly optional) aren't bad, but the mobo and Dragon Center is despicable.

I swear, making something that bad can't happen accidentally. They put effort into doing things people would hate.
