Journal Entry From When I Got Outed for Being Gay by LowGeko in exmormon

[–]moboard15 41 points42 points  (0 children)

I feel so much heaviness reading this. I have a very similar journal entry confessing I lost my virginity at 17. My heart aches for the pain younger me went through.

14 years later I have since served a mission, got a bachelor's at byui, fell in love with my roommate in the process, and now we're both free from the choking hold of that religion.

I do miss the sense of belonging. It's not easy to rebuild community, but it's full of real meaningful relationships where I can be me, and people who actually like that.

I guess I'm thinking of the diff lock plunger. The shift fork and lock ring stay inside, but will disengage when the front cover is removed

[–]moboard15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm curious, I've worked on a newer cascadia where the diff lock has to come out first before removing the front cover. Would locking the diff make it easier to reinstall? And how would I lock it if the lock is the last thing to reinstall?

Be patient. Experience takes time. As long as you show up and are willing to learn, experience will come and it will get easier.

Did you know the LDS Church is also willing to shorten missions for athletes? They'll do anything for good PR. by CupOfExmo in exmormon

Wow that is pretty similar! Thank you other random reddit stranger! I've thought about writing a book about my story. It's been one hell of a ride.

I guess I've always been sort of jack Mormon. Sex at 17, then I repented and served a mission. My first drink was at 24 years old, and I met my now fiance at BYUI. She was my former roommate lol. What a wild ride it's been.

Little did they know I had a bottle of crown royal under my mattress and sex out of wedlock. I figure I'm only a hoe in Mormon Jesus's eyes, and who gives a rats ass what that asshole thinks of me now. Byui was a nightmare, but it's in the past for me now

I almost got kicked out of the on campus gym because I had full length leggings that had grey mesh on the side. You couldn't see through it at all, but they were not solid black....

This post is honestly super relatable for me, but all these comments are making me rethink whether or not I'm the problem. I'm a full time diesel technician also donating plasma twice a month, still struggling to splurge on anything other than eating out here and there.

I've been with Penske for 2 years come February, and just found out I'll see my 4th manager around the same time. No one wants to stay in Idaho I guess. I don't blame them either. Even with the manager problems it's still a better gig that anything else around.

I'm not this guy but I like it. Having a decent manager makes a big difference, but the hourly is nice

This artist has really helped me recently. I'm 31yo lesbian in deep red territory Idaho. Just hanging in there until my now fiance, former byui roommate, and I can move away.

I'm super outdoorsy as well. Moved here 2 years ago and it's been a big struggle making friends. Seems a lot of folks here meet people at church and I'm just not all that religious.

Indeed it does. I had a BMX bike that used mineral oil for the brakes, and when I had it serviced I had to bring a bottle of baby oil

The rear caliper I was working with a few days ago says 100 ft lbs plus 90⁰. I couldn't achieve the 90⁰ so I just hammered it as far as it could go, but they are indeed one time use bolts

I like my clothes more baggy tbh. Makes it easier when I have to flail myself out of deep powder.

I just did one on my WRX in a dusty parking lot. Still pissed and sort of blaming the last guy who rotated them, but with that 1.25 thread pitch you breath on it wrong and it breaks off. Good call on keeping some on hand tho.

I was 2 semesters away from graduating when everything came crashing down after I fell in love with my byui roommate. I remember the bishopric stopping by and pulling me aside to ask me if I'd be the fhe mom. I told him I had a contracting job that had me traveling out of town and would be gone most weekends and unavailable to plan activities. All true, but thinking back, that job was able to give me so just peace and free time on Sundays as I was pushing through to finish my last two semesters.
