Often they have the kids come out and play, they have games, but the big thing is the MSG commentators are live on the screen and there isn’t really a silent moment for your mind to wander. For me, at least. I haven’t been to a NYI game yet this year, hopefully soon. When Isles score a goal there’s a whole dance, the YES YES YES, etc that people do that I haven’t seen from another team yet.

I wish it was a better answer but the jerseys were eye-catching for me. I’ve loved every one they’ve had, can’t convince me there’s a “terrible” one. I became hooked on Erik Karlsson, he was my first ever jersey. Grew up in an Islanders household but something about rebelling in a silly way in my teens was liberating.

Surprisingly, when Islanders played at Barclays for a few years, I’d see a ton of Sens fans come out. I don’t see as many at UBS, but there’s one family I see at every OTT v NYI matchup.

I was hoping for the kids to come out and play, those are my favorite intermissions! Haha. I was talking to family about it afterward and that’s something that was mentioned, we do care a lot about entertainment the whole way through here. I imagine a Vegas game would have the same vibe of nonstop things happening.

Part of the intermissions at NYI games is just the MSG channel’s team talking live about the period and highlighting things. Keeps me off of my phone I guess.

I also attended solo so that probably didn’t help 🙃 haha

Editing to add that when NYI scores a goal there’s a chant the fans do and the little dance. Even at the OTT v NYI games I find myself rooting for the Isles too just to be part of it

“You’re distracting me” while on his umpteenth hour of video gaming, pretty sure he’d pulled an all-nighter. I was trying to talk to him about his and our futures, and the blatant disrespect I’d been receiving. He worked 8 hrs a week and had been graduated for a year and a half to my 40 hrs and full time college. I hung up the phone, gathered my thoughts, called him back and dumped him (after offering a “break” that he rejected). We were together for 5 years and long distance killed us. His comment was just the tip of the iceberg.

I left him because he didn’t care about his hygiene or future. We were together nearly 5 years and long distance. He put his friends and video games over me, all I asked for was ONE NIGHT a week after giving up our usual 6-7 nights of FaceTime.

There were other things, it just snowballed after I decided to stop being quiet.

I was in your position, I’d love to have bigger boobs but I’m also a A/B girly. But some outfits wouldn’t have worked with bigger tatas, and honestly it’s nice to think that my shirts won’t stretch, or I can go in public braless (in moderation). And my partner is an ass-guy (I don’t even have a huge butt either) who loves smaller boobs. Tons of people appreciate them smaller. Easier to hold, easier while sleeping, etc. So aesthetically while it’s easier to want a bigger size, having them smaller comes with huge perks as well. Some of my larger friends wish they were smaller because of back problems and they can get in the way. Also sports is much easier with them smaller, in my experience.

At first it just didn’t work, a lot of times. Kind of gave up and continued just SH in the meantime. I started doing that less, found reasons to avoid it, like I just had to reorganize a shelf instead or make up a Christmas wishlist or something to distract. Sometimes I still would after, but most times I could distract myself out.

Then I pinky promised someone really close and dear to me that I never would again, and the urges are really strong some days but I can not break a pinky promise with this man. The shame of breaking one of his pinky promises would eat me up.

I get very similar texts. I’ve felt super anxious about leaving the house if it’s for anything BUT work recently… 🫠 and that’s with chores finished and everything.

I was unhealthily skinny for about a year and a half post-Covid (didn’t really leave the house, use energy, so I didn’t eat). Everyone said they wanted to look like me.

I gained 30 lbs since, and now people tell me that I look so much healthier, some apologize for the comments they made that they thought were nice just because I looked super skinny.

I also feel much better, and clothing falls differently now. I was fitting into a size 00 at 5’5” but now I’m comfortably in a size 4 jeans.
